  1. decodeddiesel's 2020 A90 DD to weekend fun car journey

ETA: Apologies for the weird edits, internet access has been sporadic throughout the day... First day at Watkins Glen in the bag. It was raining and cool all day. The track went from damp, to basically flooded, back to wet. This track is extremely unforgiving. There's no runout ANYWHERE...
  2. What did you do to your Supra today?

How do you like it so far? I really have my eyes on this exhaust.
  3. What did you do to your Supra today?

Like Fuzzy, I put a few miles on the car. Drove about 300 miles from my house to Watkins Glen NY. I was reminded why I84 is one of the worst highways in the country, but rewarded with one of the most beautiful and picturesque drives I've ever done in the Northeast. I drove with a gorgeous...
  4. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

That's exactly what I was looking for! You've made this mechanical engineer happy! ?
  5. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

Damn it dude! ?? It's just crazy when you hear a Supra in comparison to the other cars on track. The factory exhaust sounds good with a downpipe, but it's so damn quiet.
  6. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

I think you're right. The inverse square law is on our side too. For every doubling of distance from a source the sound will lose 6 dB.
  7. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

Do you actually know how they measure at LRP? How it's weighted and where it's measured from? It just blows my mind how loud some cars are there and no one gets black flagged despite the warnings like everywhere. ? The stock bangs and burbles on a bone stock 2020 are very likely over 100 dBA...
  8. Dinan Valved Exhausts for the Toyota GR Supra

Thank you for your candor. That's too bad, but not necessarily a show stopper. Lime Rock is a PITA about their sound restrictions. I would love to have this out on Watkins Glen or another track with no sound limits.

  10. Best Catted Downpipe

You're going to want something with a GESI cat if you want the best chances at no CEL. AA and MAP are two great choices.
  11. What did you do to your Supra today?

Been there done that with the lip I had on my STi. It ended up being a complete nightmare and a lesson learned. This is the reason I am so hesitant to install a splitter on my car. He actually tracks his car. It's a necessity, not an ornament.
  12. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

I'm really excited to see how these work out for you! Hopefully it'll get you into the 55s. ?
  13. What Ethanol content can our stock lines endure?

If it's rated for E10 it will work with E100. Ethanol rated means ethanol rated.
  14. What did you do to your Supra today?

It was just such a beautiful place. I felt like I was ruining it for the other people around me with my loud smelly car.
  15. What did you do to your Supra today?

Just so you're aware, methanol will make your exhaust smell awful and is more likely to draw the attention of law enforcement than just going catless.
  16. What did you do to your Supra today?

Ever been behind a muscle car on the road? That's how it's going to smell. Most people probably won't notice, and as the driver you'll likely never notice, but Mr. Law Man might and that's the problem. I went catless on my STi years ago. The sound and power gain were noticable, but the first...
  17. Buying 2024 3.0 Premium Deciding Between AT/MT

    No kidding. That's M3/M4 pricing.
  18. Buying 2024 3.0 Premium Deciding Between AT/MT

Yeah lol, I know. Most cars since the mid to late 00s do it too. My '07 Cayman and my '05 STi both had this feature. I just wanted to provide anecdotal evidence. We had a really mild summer here this year, but I may look into a cool shirt for next year. Lot's of people in the club I belong...
  19. Aftermarket Panel Filters

I installed the HKS foamy and a Verus resonator plug last week before an HPDE. I didn't notice any difference at all on the track, power (wasn't expecting anything) or sound wise. This is largely because I have hearing problems, and between wearing a helmet and the wind noise a friggin 747...
