I have never understood why car owners store their car(s) in winter when current tech and modern tire and rust prevention are so advanced. Moreover, no one at least in the NE where i live, even thinks abt driving in anything more than 2 in. of snow. Plus the NE and I am sure the MW is prepared...
This car is a modern automobile with the latest safety and driver aids available. It comes standard with arguably one of the most praised and ubiquitous tires on all sorts of marques. Yet questioning its wet weather ability?
Well, DesmoSD, for sure the Supra is NOT a 911 nor should it, IMHO be compared to one: different architecture, different philosophies, different engine location, you name it...No other car handles like a 911 because of the rear engine whose faults have been eradicated.
Rather I feel the Supra...
" You'd be surprised that 911's can be had for less then a MKV Supra. It's a whole different driving feel. "
Yes true that.

Most modern Porsche are VERY confidence inspiring to drive. They have super communicative chassis, telepathic steering- road feel, exceptional brake feel/modulation...
My frustration with the steering in "normal" mode boiled over today and I resolved to fix it with some coding: thanks to bimmercode and a lot of instructions from this forum, I succeeded in coding the the car to start
in "sport" mode...
Then I modified the driver profiles so that Driver 1...
" Lesson #1 to be learned: Avoid dealer like the plague. Lesson #2: if you can live with it, do. "
If you take the time to read the owner's manual from page 8 to page 13, you will

With all due respect, do you really believe that a car company like Toyota, or any other , for that matter, is also in the business of "making" oil for their vehicles?
As a former owner of both marques, (6 BMW's, 2 911's, 996 C4S and 997 C2S cab PDK), I find myself in almost total agreement with your comparisons with the 911.
I traded my 997 for the Supra and I have no regrets.
Your analysis of the 911 is correct in all aspects. I differ from you in that I...
Just saw your comment. It is on point but you rally should try and get some wheel time
in a 911 and also in a Cayman to realize how good and practical these things are. The issue
is when making any comparison, to consider all factors, plusses and minusses. My opinion
was stated with this...

Welcome! What are your thoughts on the driving dynamics between the two cars?
This is like asking to compare a kiwi to a prune because they are both fruits but I am

Ok, fellow owners, it's been a whole month. I have been waiting to have
a bit more time with the Supra to be able to talk about it in an intelligent
manner. So, here goes, with the caveat that the following are expressions of my opinions
and as everyone knows, everybody has one.
I spent the...
Hi and welcome.
I too had an experience that I want to forget when buying mine.
I bought an available car sitting in the lot with all the "body in white"
protective wrapping. I had 56 miles...no problem but the entire experience
was a bummer...The sleaze feel was very strong. approximately 20...
