As a former 911 owner and forum contributor, it never ceases to amaze me how wide the differences are between the 2 foras.
This place seems to-place a premium on tuning first and foremost, above all else. The owners here don't seem to care about the Supra's handling where it appears that the...
Took it out again this p.m... Ran errands around town, was in stop + go traffic
then the freeway, a normal day's driving. I can confirm that "my" car sure is different in subtle but real ways, so far in good ways. Heck, I think the brakes
are less fade prone or that the fading is either...
Recall done, no issues at all. Dealership was competent, seemed to have good experience doing this.
I spent part of yesterday evening re-coding what I had made via BimmerCode, i.e what I had before:
Stop/Start memory on, Active Sound Design, out; 30deg side mirror; Start in Sport Individual.
I...
Went to Hackensack today for the recall as I have very little confidence in my selling dealer and am not really confident of their knowledge. I have to say that dealing with common car dealership is very different from say BMW, Lexus and Porsche dealers. They seem so chickenshit! well we'll...

Well, it's been one year and 10k miles. Time for an honest assessment, no?
Bottom line has to be: would you buy it again, all things being equal?
My answer is a resolute Yes!
In my personal opinion, at the original price point, there is nothing ouy there that can touch it. It's a looker, it's...
Well, you'd better get used to this. Because of emissions regs, all cars now in normal mode try to reach the highest possible gear in the shortest amount of time. As advised earlier, drive in sport mode, that will help.
Had my first free oil change today at Paul Miller Toyota where I bought the car.
Mileage was 8350. No issues or concerns. Service mgr had told me at the
time of scheduling that they have 3 BMW trained techs.
They checked for shipping spacer as I requested, none present. No washing or
software...

They are young, avid racers and reasonable. They took care of my Porsches for
10 years...They fixed the squirrel in my Supra. Car is different in a great way.
" I find it interesting how many people who had or have Porsches got the Supra."
My 2021 replaced a 2009 C2S and I have to admit that it took me quite a bit of time to stop comparing as it is useless, diff. layouts and philosophy alltogether.
After an alignment, the Supra became more stable at...
Eyeballing the wrecked Supras thread, I wondered what
percentage of US car sold wound up as salvage.
Using the
Net, I found 2019=2884; 2020=5887 and so far 2021=3761
for a sum of 12532 in the USA.
By counting the Vins in the 1st post of the wreck thread
I find 40 yr.2020; 89 yr.2021 and a...
I came from a 2009 997S. I experienced the same instability until my Indy
gave me an alignment. Different car...Would venture to advise getting used to the car before modding...You might feel differently after a proper alignment, save headaches and money.
German car manufacturers can be fined if the actual speed
is higher than what is shown on the speedo. Hence, all german cars err on the side of higher than actual by abt 2mph. My 997 was 3mph and all my former
BMW's were abt 2mph higher than actual.
Dude, each car reacts differently to given alignment specs; other peolpe's opinions cannot match the way the car feels when you drive it...Go drive and compare befor/after!
