Blood, going ole’school? Back in the day, throw the PCV in the trash, plug the inlet under the carb, and put a breather cap onthe valve cover! I’m assuming u can’t do that with this motor?

So... it seems most “catch cans/oil separators” , don’t do what they advertise! ( keep oil out of intake pipe and charge pipe), so my question is: do u need two Separate “cans”?, one for CCV, and one for PCV?.... is there anything that actually Accumulates oil??

Bflood,the check valve was installed backwards from the factory?!?! And u removed it? Why didn’t u reinstall it going the proper direction?

Ok, I know this has been discussed ad naseum, there are several on the aftermarket, I’ve searched this forum and others, and from what I’ve researched, can doesn’t catch any oil!! My question; are there any catch cans that actually do what there supposed to do?

So... from what I’ve read about the B58 motor, is I t accumulates oil not only in the inlet pipe (air filter to turbo),but also oil accumulates In the outlet pipe (charge pipe) Too??!!! And this is considered normal for this motor??!!

To the gear heads out there who know this motor, while installing a CAI , I noticed while removing the elbow that connects to the turbo, Residual oil puddled in what looks like cast in holes in the elbow? Can someone explain this? PS I used a borescope to look deeper into the inlet to check...

Funny, NY was a nice place to visit, if u like traffic jams and potholes! PS in Florida if u speed over 51mph over the limit, u go to jail! .... so u gotta keep it under 115mph, on a 65mph thruway.
