No, in general, it feels faster without the loud generator sound. Now that it's turned off, Sport mode feels faster at higher speeds (110+).

I typically cruise in normal mode. It seems that ASD isn't nearly as intrusive when the engine speed is low. And maybe it's just my perception, but when I am cruising in Normal mode, then punch the gas pedal, acceleration seems to be better than when in Sport mode with ASD turned on.

Thanks, Bryan and Chris. I did read a post about this, just now, and there was mention that the burbles and pops sound while in Sport mode is diminished when the fake sound is turned off. Previously, when I started my car in Sport mode, the exhaust sound was louder from inside the car...

10 months and 3600 miles.....would've been more miles if I were still working. It's like hopping into an exotic car, in many ways.
