Haven't gone through this thread but trucks are my arch nemesis on the road. They are the new worst drivers and honestly, pieces of shit, all of them. I say this knowing I have two family members that drive trucks, fuck them too!
I have dash cam footage of trucks fucking with my in the Supra...
At the shop being returned to mostly stock, the only thing that will remain on the car is badges and mirror caps. All my aftermarket parts will be stored at the shop until I take delivery of my 2023.
Interested in this, gotta remod my new Supra, the speed industry ones are over 1k, look just like these but is there really a difference from these, Rexspeed or the Ebay replacements? (Not the covers)
Edit: Just saw these advertised on here, worth it?
Update to the update: Best news yet!
So I looked into a buy back, but it wasn't feasible financially since I was going to take a hit being as I'm still paying on the car and would only get the difference in equity after I paid the loan off, so I opted for the replacement.
Toyota doesn't have...
Well, they are offering me a buyback or replacement. I'm requesting a new engine, hoping they just go with that option and call it even.
I'd rather them not do the block replacement due to the fact I'm waiting on Toyota to acquire the parts to even perform the job, that and a seal. The rest of...
Iāve done a few B16-B18 swaps and one K swap into my 95 civic. Iām familiar with engine rebuilds and modding, what Iām not getting is what makes Toyota techs so bad to pull off a rebuild but be ok with a swap?
I feel they are equally as challenging, especially if you donāt know the removal...
I bought the car because I wanted a Supra with the intentions of modding it, I wanted a fast turbo car, that wasn't going to break my common man pockets. I know there are other options, but in this range for it's performance, I'm not sure of any other cars that would compare at the same price point.
Ouch! So Toyota said since you were tuned, you're at fault?
I have catback/intake installed so far, I'm waiting for them to get back to me about my claim, hopefully they won't deny it due to bolt-ons I've added. Has toyota touched the car since you got a new engine?
That's actually a good idea, I've been shopping and I see that prices aren't too high for premiums (not interested in a A91) but I may just go this route. Thanks for the suggestion!
Update to this: Toyota is still waiting on parts, so they gave me the option to enact my state's Lemon laws. So they gave me a couple options:
Car Buyback
Same year/model replacement
I really don't want to do another '21 to avoid the risk of having this oil consumption issue with the...
Why not keep both?
Im currently awaiting delivery of my Lotus Emira. At first I was gonna sell my Supra, but after some budget analysis and logistics, Iām gonna keep both. One will be my fast(possible track) car and the other will be the back roads/date night car.
Unfortunately, I donāt really have any updates as I havenāt really been driving it much due to the weather. Iām in the middle of my 1000 mile part 2 of the oil consumption test and Iām sitting at 600 miles due to bad weather and summer tires. ?
Oh I know, former RC350 owner here but I got rid of it when I got the Supra. I picked up this 250 originally for my daughter but it only has 30k miles on it, I know thatās done the min I turn this car over.
If Lexus still made the LFA, Iām not sure I would have this Supra. On the fence with this electric one they announced, but for now, the Supra is my poor manās LFA. Ha
Oh, Iām coming from an RC350 Fspt myself. It was either purchase the F or this Supra, went the obvious.
