Oh ok. True, there are a few cars that transition to the next generation well but most tend to deviate so much that it could be qualify as a completely different model. IMO, Toyota is one of those who like to change it up so much.
Most would agree (myself included) that the FT-1 was...
The first page of posts were people not understand what the MKV was. As you go through the pages up until the last page that's people were briefed on the MKV and then reality kicked in.
True, I did mention it was a rendering but it was a reference to how the rear glass tapers like the E86.
About the exhaust, I didn't say quad exhaust, I said dual exit. The Camry front emblem is domed but the rear is regular ol Toyota emblem. Yeah, it's common trend on sports cars today...
That would be awesome like Nismo's Heritage Parts Program is doing for the Skyline R33 and R34 GTR's.
Can you please elaborate more on the similarities. I see more FT-1 and very minimal MKIV styling cues. I do see BMW cues with the dual exit exhaust (also from the FT-1), reflectors above...
Which sensors are you referring to? Ambient temp? The parking sensors are on the vertical plane section of the grille.
It's not symmetrical to the driver's side which has the tow hook cover so I'm wondering what's that blank section that's inside the rectangular piece on the passenger side.
Got a hair cut there and took a little off the top. I bet it'll be more frequent with a helmet on or unless you're a small dude.
I agree, it needs a targa!
... and then Toyota releases the MKV with 335hp. BMW unveiled the Z4 at Pebble and Toyota unveiled at Detroit. Oh, the irony.
I'm still waiting for something to get truly excited about. I'm talking about jump-out-of-my-seat unveiling. So far the MKV announcements have been mediocre...
Well it's forced induction.
Sure, but we're talking production vehicles here. In 1993, Toyota had balls. In 2019, they have an identity crisis and are still trying to figure out which bathroom to use.
That should have been the case but it's BMW's parts bin with BMW's rules.
Like the render that had the Supra emblem on the cover. That would have been cool.
The Z4 2.0L got good reviews here at Thermal. Toyota just had to roll with both versions since that’s what the Z4 was going to offer. So much for halo car.
