What exactly are you referring to that is nothing like a MKIV Supra? Honestly, most builds can get expensive but Japanese cars in general are cheaper compared to German cars when it comes to builds. Here is a 1200hp cost breakdown. Sure it'll add up quickly but it's not much off compared to...
A lot of pre-production (in camo) cars conduct testing in Palm Springs. 2 months ago, there were MKV's at the SEMA garage for measurements. Just because it's a 19 yr old who died doesn't mean it has to make sense.
Exactly, I'm not saying there's a direct correlation but MKV's are starting to...
Is that RevMatch dude here on this forum? I like his enthusiasm and coverage with the MKV. However, I disagree with his comment. The 90's is def long gone but the driver centric dash has a very strong lineage to racing and is still used today.
Toyotafest was last weekend so a lot of vintage and current gen Toyotas (and MKV's) were out and about. As JNC states, so were the "real Supras" too.

Most sports cars have high residuals which make them not a favorable vehicle to lease. This is why sedans, compacts and SUV's are leased more.
My old co-worker wanted a Mustang really bad. He was here on a H1B1 work visa (Indian dude, engineer w/his Masters, geeky as hell, drove a shitty...
Rest in Peace to the driver. My B-I-L is a nephrologist and works at Desert Regional Medical center so I'm not going to confirm nor deny anything but he heard about it since a lot of car manufactures test in the Palm Springs area.
Unfortunately, that's the sad truth. After those patents have long expired and outsourced manufacturing to Taiwan, China and HK, that's the result of "ebay" parts. The discussion of quality is whole different topic but those parts help reduce cost.
True. Having more options of parts...
It's all relative to how extensive your build is since there are a lot more Supra aftermarket parts in comparison to BMW. If you want to keep it simple as BPU, Supra parts are a lot cheaper.

Blow-off valve
A blow-off valve is not used in current models. Pressure peaks, caused by sudden load shedding due to the inertia of the turbine of the exhaust turbocharger, can be avoided by careful tuning of the Digital Motor Electronics software. With foresighted charging pressure control...
I actually forgot about it and was reminded by my SoCal Supra and NSX friend’s FB posts. By that time, it was already too late.
The first pic with the MKV and MKIV really throw me off on how the MKV’s overall size and hoodline.
This goes way back before the MKIV and even why HKS was formed (thank goodness for this). Shoot, you can even go back to WWII and look at each country's fighter aircrafts (U.S, Japan, Germany and the British) and how each aircraft had their own distinctive build similar to cars of today. I'm...
I'm a little bias but I think the MKIV look would work on the MKV. A few things that stick out to me are:
1)The MKIV spoiler needs to be a little higher. Just like the MKIV, the spoiler is almost level with the top of the rear glass so it doesn't block your rear view.
2)The MKIV round halos...
I'm not doubting their threshold to mods but my point was that they are well equipped in OEM form. The Japanese and the U.S aftermarket has a lot of parts compared to the European aftermarket; full on turbo kits, interior, exterior, small bits and pieces to fully customize your car.
The MKV...
