I use this for all my cars: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QPSNZPP
I absolutely love it. I've had three or four other trickle charges over the years and didn't like them. A Battery Tender (too slow, not enough info, no AGM), a Schumacher (would report 100% when it wasn't), and some other...
Don't even need to put it on ramps. I drive my front or rear onto a 2" thick slab of wood, and that's enough to get the jack under the car. If your jack has a padded seat, you can also just raise the car from any of the jack points as if they were pinch welds.
I have 275/35 up front with +25 offset on 9.5s, and I'm running RS-R Superdown springs which are the lowest drop of any spring (afaik). No rubbing. If I had crappier roads in my city, I'd run 275/30 for more clearance. But the +25 offset versus the usual +22 was key to fitting the 275/35...
This is concerning the Phase 2 Motortrend (P2M) rigid collar kit for the A90 Supra. I am not compensated by or affiliated with this company.
History: Aside from my Supra, I also have a big turbo Genesis Coupe 3.8 that I've been building for 8 years. The Genesis Coupe has a notorious amount of...
I have them. My wheels are 19x9.5+25 front with 275/35, and 19x11+35 rear with 305/30.
I do not have rubbing issues, but clearances are very tight and I probably wouldn't run a 35 front if I lived in a town with crappier roads. I would run a 30 instead for the extra clearance.
On stock wheels...
You can order anything w/o tuning except fueling, meth, and turbos.
Some of your mods above would be better ROI with a tune, but don't require it.
Edit:
Given your desire to track the car: you should invest in sway bars and end links, bumpsteer correction, rear toe and eccentric lockout...
I have one, and I did it because the stock fake brace squeaked and creaked terribly. All of that went away after I install the cabin brace and for that it was worth it.
No rubbing, and I'm lowered about 1.3" with RS-R Super Down springs, which AFAIK are the biggest drop of all the springs out there. Quality of BC-Forged is extremely impressive. I spent a ton of time inspecting each wheel before mounting tires and could not find a single blemish. The color and...
Definitely. Octane rating of pump e85 can vary (and often misreported by websites), but it's mostly in the range of 100-105. If you target 50% ethanol mix: pump 93 @ e10% + e85 @ e85% can get you to ~100 octane. If the "e85" pump has a lower ethanol content than 85%, it's possible to get the...
I have 275/35 on the front with 19x9.5, lowered ~1.3", and it does not rub. My front offset is +25.
Factory front is 19x9+32 with 255/35. Compared to stock, my wheel is an additional 13mm closer towards the fender/wheel arch and 7mm taller top to bottom.
I feel like you could also run 275/35...
And as a sidenote:
Some people are also experiencing a sensation of the steering wheel being "loose" after a spring install. Not quite audible clunks or bangs, but a new sensation of knocking or "hollowness" felt in the steering wheel as if something were unbolted.
This is almost certainly an...
I'm forking this thread into something new, with an aim to help any random Google passerbys who are experiencing rear suspension clunking on their MkV/A90 Supra after installing lowering springs. I first want to credit @jvang85 for spurring this conversation in the direction of a fix. I also...
