There's a good heuristic that demonstrates it with the veyron. It takes something like 400kW to get to 300km/h, and the other 350kW to get from 300-400km/h.
Interesting about Chris Harris. I really like his stuff, so regardless of whether he thinks it's bmw or Toyota - the car is what it is. I'd prefer to hear about his driving impressions regardless of the shared DNA.
For the millionth time it's not built at fucking bmw. It's built in Austria. Third party plant that makes everything from range rovers to Aston martins to bmw to Mercedes.
It uses parts from the bmw catalogue, that's it.
