We did this in our local Supra club. I'll dig up the reports. summary was:
- hardtop : reasonably stiff
- targa with roof off : floppy as a wet pool noodle
- targa with roog on : floppy as a dry poodle noodle

The LFA is the successor to the 2000GT. Both a similar price point and performance point for the era, not to mention exclusivity.
I think the supra sits below them. An LFA or 2000GT for the masses.
just another form of suspension tuning.
a wider rear tyre is chosen by manufacturers to tune a chassis towards understeer a little more than neutral/oversteer. it's generally safer in a high powered RWD car.
A square setup is far more neutral
