honestly not sure; that's another one of those marketing questions that's outside my expertise, but I think it would be wise to show at least something prior to that to keep interest up.
it all depends on the life of the car and how well it sells; a lot of factors play into it, including constant demand for a manual (if the demand disappears then it won't happen, so I'd recommend staying vocal).
that said, my best guess is that it would likely be 2 years at the earliest, so...
100% correct.. the guy that blew the first trans using launch control was denied a new trans by Nissan and had to shell out $20k or whatever the hell it was. He owns a pizza shop in the town I grew up in, so by coincidence we spoke at length about it. His username on Nagtroc was Septskyline.

As someone that also knows some of the engineers at Nissan, that post is spot on.. they are updating the R35 AGAIN and the R36 is still in whiteboard phases. the Z made it far further than whiteboard and was approved a few years back and then nothing, so I assumed it was dead which it seems is...
I'd assume 'launch' = press debut, as in showing the world what will be available for sale shortly.
I expect the car to arrive on dealer lots in late summer/early fall 2019 if all goes well.
I've never intentionally mislead anyone here, but those supplying the first hand information can always manipulate it as they see fit. In this case, I never felt that way but tried to be careful so that it wouldn't come back to haunt me.
That said, as we all know things change and there's...
that's correct; I am not perfect. I've also seen several different official renders and designs, all of which were different, so it gets hard to know up from down sometimes. you can't win them all and I never planned to.
there's still plenty I don't know and possibly even more now that I'm...
it's unfortunate, but it still doesnt mean that cant add it later... it happened with the IS300 of all things and it's the same story with other brands/models too.
but yeah man, the ZL1 is a totally different beast at that weight, but Guff and I had both mentioned in another thread how great it...
Toyota is letting BMW do the testing and use their own infrastructure in order to save cost. (Europe/North America)
Toyota is the one testing the cars in JP though iirc.
I got some clarification, not that it was needed, in that the manual thing was specifically in regards to BMW systems integration and not being worthwhile. I had thought to a degree that they were not willing to spend in general due to the way this was explained, but that apparently was an...
As far as I am aware, the S-FR concept was never greenlit for production. I believe they instead invested in some Gazoo stuff for the other smaller fwd cars instead.
yeah, for some cars it's much higher take rate based on enthusiast pool. the 20% take rate is probably due to all of the older folks that will buy this car and much to the dismay of everyone on this board will be the other 80% with enough money to purchase one new lol
