Alright, I'm glad I wasn't the only one interpreting it that way... and honestly it's good to hear it. It's an easy fix if that's the case (though of course one we shouldn't have on this kind of car from the factory). I've had one of these sitting in the garage to be installed for a while now...
Yeah, that surprises me - they're almost lost completely in the background, especially given your choice of car color. I really appreciate you snapping a few pics of the smexy beast. Will throw mine on tonight!
Have mine sitting in a box next to me. Is it easy to get a picture of the car straight on from the front with these installed? Just curious how they look from this angle.
Maybe I'm just not seeing it, and I'm assuming here, but you're stating that it appears the diff was leaking due to you driving the car hard and it was overheating, and after the Verus Engineering diff cooler was installed, the issue has gone away?
Got it - now it makes more sense. Thanks @zrk . Stuff like this is the reason I just went with the JB+ until I can actually tune my ECU. I would be the idiot burning up his turbo in this scenario 'cause gainz. Another somewhat related question for you or anyone reading this thread: Anyone...
Yeah, I caught this thread with zero responses and ordered right way, so I just hit "refresh" at the right time, apparently. I'll hit you up before the next purchase. Thanks much!
How exactly is map 3 destroying turbos? I've seen this mentioned before but never had a solid explanation as to what specific problem it causes that results in turbo failure. I'm just running a JB+ until I can get a tune (I have an un-tunable '21), so I'm not worried about it, but would like to...
Received mine yesterday (I paid the $17 for shipping - do I get a store credit @Josh/AWE ? ?). They seem to be of high quality in terms of materials and production. It bothers me they aren't "piano black" like the area they will be stuck to, but much like @zrk, I don't like the carbon fiber...
I've not read others having the same kind of issues I am. Maybe they haven't checked the intake after installation and there is a problem with it slipping off, maybe I've screwed something up (unlikely and why I had a 2nd set of eyes/hands check my install), or maybe it's a 2021-specific issue...
Ok, so after another week of frustration and some additional practice taking the intake system in and out, the stock system with an aFe oiled filter is back in the car and I will be selling the Eventuri airbox w/ turbo inlet (at a deep discount - please keep an eye on the for sale section here...
I'm a big, big fan of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. I've never had them on this vehicle, however. They are an awesome dry weather 200TW tire for track/street use. They are pretty good on a wet track/road but do not do well in standing water. If you plan on driving the car a lot in the...
Just highlighting this - Have the motor coded in Sport+ on my untunable '21, with an AA catted downpipe, and the AWE Track exhaust. Lots of pops and bangs, especially of the loud gunshot variety when driving hard. Even in stock form, though, they were there just significantly muted.
Enjoy the...
Going the self-cut route, what are people using and can anyone point to some links on Amazon? Many say "permanent" adhesive, which I'm hesitant to put on the car for obvious reasons.
ITT a potential owner asks how much depreciation can be expected on a Supra and owners tell them not to be worried about depreciation and just enjoy it. ?
