Now trust me, I'm all for spending money on stuff, but I thought the general consensus on these components from any manufacturer is that they don't really provide any benefit and that people keep popping the silicone coupler who are running boost over stock levels? Can anyone who is running this...
A non-plastic intake manifold that is better at reducing IAT than stock, but isn't $5k like the new CSF component (I understand they're coming out with a less expensive cast version but haven't seen pricing at this point).
Not this car, but I threw a set of Koni coilovers on a '96 Miata I tracked/autocrossed and it was insta-time.
Are running all that on the track with stock rubber?
I am not a welder, so maybe someone who knows more can provide input, but I would think with a bunch of (high temp) heat cycles, this is going to be a problem.
I heard back from them and this is exactly the reason it doesn't fit. I'm surprised because of what the coverage of the component looks like it would be from the pictures. Oh well - learned something today! They did state they're working on a version for the 2021 cars.
It does have these two, they line-up, and fit securely. When I pull the airbox (hoping to get to it today), let me get some pics of exactly what I'm talking about, as well as a pic of the bottom of the stock airbox with the post where the Eventuri doesn't have one. Appreciate you helping out!
No you're, good - I don't want to put bad information out there and am 100% happy to admit I'm wrong. I'm going to edit my previous comment and ensure it's corrected. Thanks!
I actually used your video! Thanks for putting it together. It was the heat shield and either the Verus AOS or turbo heat shield getting in the way. I removed the heat shield from the airbox and it fit pretty well. Now that I'm not hot, sweaty, and pissed off, I'm getting ready to actually pull...
I wanted to unearth this thread. I'm on a heat-management mission right now for my untunable '21. I have done various things with the car to this end. When I went to the Mishimoto website, looked at parts for the '21 Supra, their turbo blanket doesn't show up as a compatible part. However, when...
DUDE DO A SEARCH. I'm kidding. I do the same thing. Been running the AA catted downpipe for quite some time now and no CEL. I push the car hard (track, autocross, and road) and have other mods that would make a CEL more likely, as well. It's a great, high-quality part that produces an excellent...
One can dream...
Wait, the brakes don't rotate?! :p You are 100% correct and I had remembered this incorrectly from my competitive racing days... which are embarrassingly long ago. Thanks for the correction. Time to buy those carbon fiber wheels, eh?
Oh yeah, that's definitely the plan! ? But in this case, I'm talking about un-sprung weight, which would be anything not being supported by the weight of the suspension. Things like wheels, tires, brakes, suspension components, and most things connected to them. I've found it very true that...
My time on the track has taught me that one of the most effective ways to make your car "faster" is to become a better driver. BUT, un-sprung weight also plays an enormous role that I feel a lot of folks bolting parts onto a car don't take into consideration. Likely because, beyond wheels and...
