This is a good option. I've had the AA catted downpipe for about 1k miles now. No CEL and caught me out on cold tires the first time I drove it. Definitely makes more power than stock according to the butt dyno and I'm saving the world!
Wanted to second this. I have an AA catted downpipe and have been running it for maybe about 1k miles along with a JB+ (not JB4). No CEL or any other weirdness - works great.
This is some sort of tuning software, I'm assuming, or is this setting available via a JB4 or Bimmercode? Asking for us untunable '21 owners out there.
Best air intake upgrade has to be moving to a colder climate. I cannot believe how much better the car performs in the cooler weather we've been having in KY over the past several days. IAT must be through the roof in the 90+ degree temps prior to the cooler air settling in as it has. I really...
Question about this: As noted above, I just have it on the factory setting. I have 93 in my area and run it. Do you have any experience running one of these things cranked all the way up on 91 or 93? I honestly forgot the thing was even adjustable until you mentioned it.
Just to confirm, I've had a JB+ for a couple of months now on the factory setting and no CEL. Works great. Minimal additional power with no mucking about or loss in drivability. Just what I was looking for.
So true. I love both "smart" technology and over-complicating things, but a light switch still works when the fancy Hue stuff I have breaks or goes offline. I do wish they would give us some kind of mechanical mechanism to check the oil level for when these sensors eventually begin to fail...
I swear, the most wanted feature for the '22 cars should be an f'ing dipstick. Drives me crazy we need to rely on electronics for such a simple task. Have you tried taking the measurement multiple times while the car is at multiple locations? Remember most garages are built at a slight angle for...
I'm living that AWE Track Edition life. Now that the exhaust is loud and deep, interior rattles are numerous on cold start and under application of the throttle. I feel like it's a good excuse to start taking out interior pieces of plastic.
Recently installed an aftermarket exhaust on my 2021 3.0L and am selling the stock component. It has about 3700 miles and one (1) track day on it. Local pickup would be significantly easier for a component this large, of course, but if someone is willing to pay to ship it, I'm happy to drop it...
I'm a big fan of how they did the stripe. Not only the matte vinyl, but also how it looks like it carries down over the nose, with the grill below it and splitter becoming part of the effect. I would do this to my car - and probably carry the stripe over the roof somehow and onto the back of the...
I'm loving my AWE Track Edition paired to the AA catted downpipe. Link added in my updated top post here: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/underdonks-21-gr-supra-3-0-premium-hpde-build.9473/
Thanks! I'll try to get some additional sound clips (including drive-bys) when I'm back from vacation. I personally thought the drone was actually worse with the stock exhaust and the AA catted downpipe cruising in 8th gear around 1800-2000rpms. With the AWE Track Edition exhaust, the drone...
Gun metal is classic. Looks good on any color car, IMO. I do like bronze, but to me, it looks the best on blue vehicles. Maybe it's just my love of Colin McRae's old Subaru rally car.
