  4. Petition To Toyota For Manual Transmission.

I'll pin this to all my Supra YouTube videos. Idk how much it'll help, but it's worth a shot. Shot the link to Jalopnik's tip line too. :dunno:
  5. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

    Well, nobody's perfect lmao. :p:bonk:
  6. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

That's my boy Ryan, he's awesome! He hit the nail on the head nicely. Assumptions make an ass!
  7. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

LC is an awesome drive, but it is NOT a Supra, not even close. Specs don't mean anything, it's all about the drive. And the LC and Supra drive very differently. Also, not trying to break your heart or anything, but this sentiment about the 86 hasn't changed
  8. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Officially Revealed!

Yeah, they were racing the 86 at 24 hours of Nur before launch, but I'm sure those are different rules too. I'm not sure of the specifics for GT500, which I believe is confirmed for the Supra, but I don't think it'll have a problem racing there. Also, I'm pretty sure all GT500 cars use 2.0 turbo...
  9. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

LFA is still very snappy at the limit though. There's no perfect setup. Weight distribution is merely one factor in the overall picture of handling balance, and seems to have become weaponized into more of a marketing strategy rather than just an indicator of potential handling characteristics.
  10. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Perhaps not for much longer? Again, I have no details beyond that. :dunno: Exactly, and the worst part is that the board is damn good at their job, and Akio can't argue with that. Toyota continues to grow at an impressive rate and with TNGA and the rest of the new tech revamping the lineups...
  11. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Yeah, I recently talked to a little birdy that told me that the reason we aren't getting a manual is because of incompatibility with Toyota Safety Sense. And while BMW and Mazda both offer systems that will continue braking in a panic stop after the car stalls, Toyota was not happy with the...
  12. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

Appreciate the love guys! Figured you guys would enjoy since this is basically what we argue about on the forum all day loll
  13. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

So, I wrote a script nearly a year ago about the reemergence of Japanese sports cars, but the time never felt right to make the video. With the GR Supra unveiled, I feel like now's a great time to ponder on the possibility of another "golden age" for Japanese sports cars. Enjoy!
  14. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

7Tune is notorious for posting complete bullshit
  15. BMW model codes include Supra (J29) with auto transmission, 4 and 6 cylinder engines

SPX AND J29 are just internal development codes. Similar to how the BRZ was the AS-1.
  16. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

In my mind, the FSE is a hidden treasure just like the VVTi was not too many years ago. Only HKS has boosted one, and that was more than a decade ago, so they didn't have the engine management needed to properly control one. Definitely lots of potential using modern tech.
  17. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

  18. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

Yeah haha, they have some really great tech in there. The narrow valve angle is also a problem, but I spent some time working out a plan for an FSE with some smart people (Turbo Yoda, specifically) and it could definitely be an interesting engine with some boost. Just haven't had the time or...
