The JZ engines are truck engines. That's why they're so reliable even 25 years on and filled with 30psi boost.
My opinion... I'm looking forward to the new engine, given the consideration by Toyota to what made the JZ so pivotal.

this is why i do every piece of work on my car myself. it's just too infuriating, and berating the dealer to fix their mistake is an arduous and painful process.

it seems like that the cast runners are more forward, closer to the front of the engine... but we're really guessing at this point.
I really hope the manifold is not a part of the head... as that's a real pain for anyone wishing...
