interestingly, the engine in the A90 goodwood prototype doesn't have an integrated exhaust manifold. you can clearly see the cast steel runners for cylinder one and two.
I wonder if they do actually share different heads?? Because it certainly looks cast and not water-cooled here.
not to mention that both forum insiders, moto miwa and one other (let me find it later) have said that the mass is close to 1400kg.
from the insiders I have spoken to - seemingly reputable sources - have indicated that 3080-3200lbs is not out of the question.
we can only wait and see I guess.
I know your pain. I spent hours on my calipers trying to match them to the jade VVTi cam cover, complete with chrome decals for that "factory" look... all for nice looking calipers
I'm hoping it speaks volumes to the mass of the car. The fronts are big 348mm suckers and less unsprung weight is better.... But massive brakes are cool. So let's see.
My bad, I worded that terribly and hence edited my post... but you're right.
If Toyota have deemed that to get "X" driving qualities, they compromised rear vision/blind spots.... It will want to be bloody good, and very apparent - because as you point out - other manufacturers can do it.
Agree, it doesn't look great. I remember peering into the GR concept and thinking "they are some fat C pillars"
Maybe that's why it has to have giant/ugly side mirrors... To meet safety/vision requirements
I'm running the trd wing so that affects it... Also the recaros are on lowest rails available and my rear window is tinted...
But I'm used to it so doesn't bother me, and wouldn't change it for a second
Certainly wouldn't give positive feedback on shit visibility, but would give positive...
Fantastic. Thank you. This has made my work morning far better, especially since I can hear U2 on the radio from my desk - which no-one wants on a Monday morning :fear:
word on the street for US reveal was detroit motor show yeah?
I noticed the german article states "medium equipment"
I'm going to assume this means you get the same mechanical package, but with different accessories.
personally, this pleases me, I want a sports car, not an optioned up...
There is no 'frame' on the outside of the glass - see the threads that show the hatch open. It's like a frameless door - but the hatch :)
So therefore, under all that plastic is the structural components for the hatch/roof/chassis
Given the focus for torsional rigidity, (and the fact that...
Thing Is, from the pics, we know the head is different in the Z4 and A90 from the updated B58 in the X5 M40i thing... (around the exhaust ports)
Who really, who knows.
