We wont get in to the great oil debate but the facts are thicker oil gets hotter than thin because it does a better job of removing heat from all the components.
Again, if the oil cooling system is up to the task, oil temps will stay the same, within their regulated temps.
If anyone is honestly complaining that our temp comes up fast and stays around 230°, they have issues. That is beyond ideal. A problem would be slowly heating up and never making it past 200°. We want oil to get above waters boiling temp as fast as possible. Start complaining when oil Temps are...

If you have a JB4 unit, press and hold the top button (car running and in park) on the blinker stalk until the blinker light flashes. It opens the valve a couple seconds after you start the car and makes your neighbors hate you in the mornings.
Got official confirmation that my Supra is pregnant and will be popping out a kid in the next 3-5 months. They say it looks to be a Pavement Gray GR86.
I gave up on getting a GR Corolla.... maybe next year.
