i'm guessing here, but based on my experience in automotive/racing industry, but i don't think any major system changes being scoped now could be introduced into a production vehicle until mid-cycle upgrade.
there is little news because the forum insiders have gone and there's less speculation on the looks.
this late in development, there will be no major changes. any changes being worked on now will be a mid cycle update
LFA was always a Lexus brainchild, development team and everything was separate from Toyota.
Yes it says Toyota on the build plate, I even have a picture, but it was going to wear a Lexus badge from day zero.

Makes me think the auto was also considered due to ability to handle bulk torque

I'm guessing because there's structural members under there, but would look pox to have a small window.
Given the light weight, the hatch is probably some composite material so needs bigger pillars for strength.
hmmm, i think it's different down here... manuals are more popular. let me find some numbers. shame to hear automatics are so popular abroad though. I guess the "i can't drive stick" memes were real :(
and btw, calling it stick? wtf guys:P
Toyota will never let their halo model have anything less than the best safety systems.
Disappointing but it makes perfect sense from an auto manufacturing market perspective.
Curious as to where the 20% came from... I realise they said the global market is dominated by US buyers.... how many...
a few people are having trouble seeing what the car looks like under the camo wrap
two biggest things that are affecting the look is the covered glass, and the wheels
here's a 5 min /seriously dodgy indication to show how much difference windows make.
It's about 2-3 o'clock on the RHS rear fender, you can see it in these pics
These are the snow wheels and tyres
Factory sizes are 18 and 190" with 275 R and 255 F
