There is no fill level sensor. Only a temp sensor. The temp sensor will throw an error from a certain temp, which an underfilled diff might do. The photos you shared from the tech are of the axles, not the drive shaft.

Too bad the USDM Supras don't have those hooks. They can be retrofitted though as the threaded holes are there already.

You can use the Bootmod3 logger on your phone without having Bootmod3 flashed to the car. CANChecked also has a standalone screen that attaches to the OEM middle screen that show oil pressure I believe.

If I am getting under the car, I do the same. If just doing brakes and such, I don’t bother.
