My auto-x experience with stock tires is this. I get 3 laps per session.
1st lap - feels like you are on ice
2nd lap - tires are warm enough to halfway hook up
3rd lap - tires overheated and back to feeling like driving on ice
4th lap - normally a non timed fun run - full drift mode

Ya I was one of the manual purist.... I have owned 53 cars so far and 50 of them have been a manual. When the supra came out, I said, nope, auto only, so stupid. Loved the way it looked but couldn't get over the trans. Told myself if it was dct, I would be fine with it. But no it has a convertor...
I was completely surprised too. Having 650hp and wide sticky tires, I thought it was just going to win everywhere. But nope, the Supra launches pretty good. Neither used launch control either. Both cars had traction control off. Camaro is an auto as well.
Tonight, I am going to see if we can...
Tonight, on a closed course, individual study, with professional drivers, we had a 21 Supra vs 19 Camaro ZL1 shootout. Camaro has r comp tires. Supra has 300tw tires. 0-80 Supra everytime. 30-105 Camaro by a car maybe car and a half. Super impressed with the Supra. Both bone stock
I have been driving the Supra daily lately just cause its new to me. Overall, I dont really have a daily. I just bounce around between cars. One other part time driver is a 06 Evo (425 whp). Then there is a 09 Cobalt SS (325 whp). And lastly is my mid engine Bug but that doesnt get driven...
Serious question for the rest of you turbulence owners....
Do birds seem to target your car over others? I swear my car gets bombed just about every day. I have 2 other silver cars (normal silver) and a white car that sit in my driveway. They never get bombed. I havent washed my Cobalt in over...
I wonder if that was to happen, if they would replace the engine with a new crate engine or a reman from one that had problems? Kind of like recycling to cut costs. Again, this is all in theory that there is an oil consumption problem.
Things like that scare me. All they do is fake the ecu into seeing less boost than what its actually making. No adjustment to the fuel or timing maps. Hard pass for me.
I will do my best to describe it. Main thing here, when I say break in an engine, all I am talking about are the rings. Nothing else really needs to break in.
When an engine is new, it has what you call "cross hatching" on the cylinder walls. Think of this as sand paper for the rings. The goal...
I have never had a window crack from windshield wiper fluid hitting it, ever. I am smart enough to know not to hit the button when the car has been sitting outside in 120° weather but its low 90s.... this should not happen. So yes, in a way, I believe this should be warrantied. If it was a rock...
My car seriously hates me. First it was the 1/2 gallon of milk being spilt in less than 24 hours of ownership, then a freakin tetradactyl flew over and exploded over the whole car and now a broken window. Just passed the 1200 mile mark. Got in it to go to lunch, another tetradactyl flew over and...
