  1. First time out with the mk5 MT

Not even one full lap to get a baseline lap time? Brutal. But I feel your pain. During my last event, I ended up in second place because my fastest slap had me lifting for a safety car. When you've got 30 or more vehicles on course and half of them are full-on race cars that like to break...

Nitrogen is such a relatively large molecule, don't seem to see It leaking out of most things. Even tires. Makes sense that they would hold pressure on suspension components. That and the lack of thermal expansion is why they use it, I assume. You guys are getting me all fired up. I have to...
  3. Front Abs kicking in after new rear tires installed

To be clear, you are on the brakes and ABS is kicking in, even if on the brakes in a slow corner?

With tires, you are either doing two sets or just running a street tire and dealing with the performance or lack thereof. I use the R-S4 any time I want a performance street tire. Federal used to have a tire that was popular with the Enthusiast class of GTA. Not sure if it's a thing any more...

There's more to it than that. I.E. in my last track car I used Evan's waterless coolant. While the operating temperature was technically higher, that was okay because, with no water in the system, You don't get the pressures, expansion, and air / vapor pockets, or hot spots that You get with...
  6. White Smokescreen (Common Issue?)

White smoke is water. Look for leaks where it can get into the combustion chamber. Which side of the exhaust it's coming from isn't important.

Most people plug in cancellers. I don't remember reading whether or not they can be coded out. Somebody should chime in on that soon.

Perez can not learn to drive the car the way it's built. He can't adapt. That's unfortunate for him. He needs to be able to drive it well on all courses. He can't. He is obviously a team player, it's just unfortunately that he does not seem to be well suited to that car.

It does, which is part of the point of Sport mode. Aftermarket performance setups bypass the OEM intervention, altogether.
  10. JB4 and Partial unlock questions

I will reiterate that I am, in no way, a JB4-specific expert and solely basing my recommendations on my knowledge of piggy-back systems, in general.
  11. JB4 and Partial unlock questions

Yes but my point is just that the JB4 did not help with that lap time and definitely not worth the risk, IMO.
  12. JB4 and Partial unlock questions

Technically, but nothing I'd trust for race day. The JB4, itself, is the problem, not the tune.
  13. JB4 and Partial unlock questions

My take where I think I may be able to lend a bit of insight: Hopefully others can chime in and you can get the info you need to make your decisions. :headbang:
  14. Ppl running full e85???

E85 cleans things. Running pump gas could keep the rubber parts of your fuel system happy. I had a fuel line dry up on me. Got brittle and cracked, then started showering fuel into the engine bay. ? but really more like ?? So, I started running the occasional tank of pump gas through. Any...

In all honesty, $5,000 is about the minimum you're probably going to pay for a really good set of coilovers. If Ohlins are less than $5,000, that's probably going to be your best bet. Normally, I support Fortune Auto, completely. However, it doesn't seem that they're set for our cars is as good...

It's the same setup that alignment racks use. Best of both worlds, but you definitely pay for it.

    As is all motorsports.

Dang. I'm late, again. Man, I like Checo but was face palming this last race. I TRULY hopes he gets his nerves in order. We all have bad days..and sometimes they snowball. I 100% expect him to be on his game this next race. This is the first time I've ever felt he couldn't handle a certain...

Then you would absolutely loathe my MaxxJaxx. To move it: I dry break the lines, take the pump outside, then unbolt one or both upright. Worth it, IMO to get a car high enough that I can get under with a roller chair.
  20. Anyone selling Stock downpipe for ‘21 3.0 premium?

I've been looking for a back up, myself. Good luck. Many, short-sighted people sold them off for recycling ? not many used ones left to be had.
