I stopped carrying all together. There is pretty much nowhere I go where I'm allowed to take it inside. All the places where you would want responsible people to be armed to protect you? Yeah, not allowed.
Metal detectors every single event. Weapons not allowed. Doesn't matter if I have a permit. ??
I currently have two toys, used to have two others. Not sure which the Supra replaced.
I went from a 2006 Evo that was my track car and an Aston Martin Vantage as my "nice car" to a Supra that is my track car and a 1969 Charger that is my lifelong bucket list car.
I guess I'll say the Supra...
Easiest way to get over that is just sign up and go. Forget about how the car is set up, it doesn't really matter. Straight off the showroom floor is fine. Like Nike said: Just Do It. :headbang:
Typically, a shock will either adjust comp OR rebound. The better stuff seems to let you adjust rebound. I've had better luck with rebound adjustments than comp.
Maybe someone can verify.
I'm following because I'm pulling the trigger in a couple of months. Very interested.
I don't think I'd let resale value influence any decision I make about a car. Especially a coilover set. I'd never sacrifice performance on the track because I want to have better resale. You free yourself of a lot of worries if you don't include that as a reason for purchase. Also, I've never...
Yeah, you were most likely flying pretty good. Sounds like you are on the right track.
Once my season is over, I'm going to try to hit a big willow, again, with this car I'm curious to see how it does against my old one. I'll shoot for something around May of next year.
I can absolutely offer advice. At least I base mine on experience and observation. Most people don't even do that.
I'm not the only one allowed to post an opinion. Also, people are free to do what they want. They don't have to follow only my advice.
This is a $50,000 car. People need to be...
I drive around town on them, occasionally. I've learned that they heat cycle out before the tread wears, So I don't mind. My local track is about an hour and a half away. I leave them on for those trips also. In general, they stay on since I also trailer to farther events.
But occasionally, I...
I thought I explained my reasoning, but I'm too lazy to scroll back ?
I have experience with many piggybacks over the years. I've seen what happens when they fail. Fooling sensors has never been something that I'm a fan of. Knowing that the JB4 has its own checks and limitations helps, but still...
I'm willing to bet you were doing much better than a 1:48, assuming you have even a bit of experience. My old car did a 1:32 and the Supra is faster.
Squared setup with factory tires?
ABS is brakes. You're talking about traction control. You gotta be correct describing the problem or our suggestions are gonna be all over the place but, most importantly, completely wrong.
TC kicks in with any tire when you give the car too much gas, especially on a turn.
If you have VSC on...
