??
Okay. I'll update my other post.
I found part number
CT78772-RNP-XP10
Which Oakos states is base model xp10 rear here:
https://www.oakos.com/CT78772-RNP-XP10.htm
Hell, what a hassle ?
Thanks to @Afterfire and @razorlab, I finally found pads for the base model. Carbotech has them, which is my favorite pad anyway.
CT78772-RNP-
Then follow up with the pad compound you want. I.E.:
CT78772-RNP-xp10
CT78772-RNP-xp20
Etc
Thanks to Afterfire for the breakthrough!
Tuning a car does not affect reliability unless
1. It's a crappy tune
2. The car is tuned within an inch of it's life.
If you do either, that's on you ?
Tunes make cars more responsive and consistent first, possibly more power, second.
Unless you live somewhere where it's illegal (CA), a tune...
I have an email out to them asking them if non-performance means base model. I was hoping that would be the case.
Taction control absolutely destroys brake pads, so I'm not surprised.
I get the same "unable to connect" message.
My car had 2000 miles on it when I bought it. Maybe the previous owner registered the car so now I can't. Kind of like a JB4.
The holes weeken the rotor if they are drilled after the rotor is cast. If the holes are cast into the rotor, that's a lot better. Either way, they aren't needed for track use and or not as robust as non cross drilled. For the street, they would do fine. Slotted rotors are fine, just not always...
Yeeeeah..... I'll wait to find a better pad. ?
Speaking of brakes, the best brakes I've ever had on a car was on a GT350R. Between the monstrous front rear brakes, the weight, and sheer mechanical grip of the tires, that car is the first I've ever driven where I really felt myself pushing into...
Drilled and/or slotted rotors are not going to help you with any street driving. Rotors used to be cross drilled because of old pad technology. That's not an issue anymore. If the holes aren't done right, the rotor would crack under any substantial use. Street driving would probably be fine...
Do the oil change at least as often as the manufacturer recommends. If you feel like doing it sooner, do it sooner. If you're really serious, take samples to send to Blackstone. Results will give you your best indication of when to change your oil.
That concerns me, as I do not go intermediate pace. ?
Plus my car is full weight.
Then again, I admit I don't know how harsh our cars are on the rear brakes with all the nannies turned off.
