The video was posted by a Toyota/Lexus employee during a racing event. It was suppose to stay on a certain forum. But in this day and age it made its way all over the internet. When word broke out about the video, the Toyota/Lexus employee was force to remove it in fear of losing his job.
The concept car itself is huge. That is because it is a body kit over a Lexus RC platform. I'm hoping the production car will just be a few inches longer than the 86/FR-S. 500hp or so seems very doable with the RC-F's V8.
My wish list would be:
1. Make it as close to the concept as possible.
2. At least 500hp would be nice.
3. That hinted price tag of $50k-$60k also sounds nice.
4. Actually use the Supra nameplate and not just some random letters (FR-S).
5. Wouldn't mind a good old manual transmission.
6. Carbon...
I voted no. I think a Supra successor flagship should have at least 6 cylinders. Not to mention if you go read other forums and blogs, no one wants a 4 cylinder Supra.
I'm ok if they both end up using the same carbon fiber chassis and suspensions. But it would be nice if Toyota used their own drive train for their version.
IMO, this car is following the same path as the Lexus LF-LC. With the second concept only changing in color. As we all know Lexus has confirmed the LC for production and stating that 90% of the concept will carry over into the production car.
