The MKIV Supra weighted about the same as the competition: Nissan 300ZX (3,186-3,602lbs), Mitsubishi 3000GT (3,090–3,770 lbs). The only two cars that were lighter was the Acura NSX (3,010-3,153lbs) and FD RX-7 (2,315–2,954 lbs).
For that hinted price tag of $50k-$60k, I also don't believe it will be a hybrid, unlike with the $100k+ NSX II and R36 GT-R.
I would also like to add that unlike past concepts like the: FT-HS, LF-LC, LF-Ch, LF-Gh, and etc. which were clearly labeled as hybrid concepts; FT-1 currently show no...
I was thinking 2016 or 2017 Detroit for a production FT-1. We haven't even see production ready test mules on the streets yet.
The 2015 Detroit Auto Show currently has the new Toyota Tacoma and Lexus GS-F taking center stage.
What I think could end up happening is in 2016 we will most likely see BMW's concept. Then Supra test mules with the production body will start hitting the streets in 2016-2017. And than finally, production version unveiled in 2018.
I don't think the LF-LC will get another concept; just due to the reason that Lexus has stated the production car will look very similar to the two concept cars.

So it seems that the FT-1 is following the same path as the LF-LC. The second concept for both cars only featured a color changes to the exterior and interior. It is also worth nothing that Lexus has confirmed the LF-LC will go into production, and that 90% of the concept will carry over to the...

How do you feel about FT-1's nose? There are those that love the F-1 car and Enzo look. Some have been on the fence, but have said it is different and unique. While others have said it needs to be toned down or just removed it completely. So take a look at two renders below, one with the nose...
