I got my car randomly through a friend who is a GSM at a Toyota dealer.
But I called A LOT of dealers and what I found out is that not every dealer gets these cars and even less of them get manuals.
It's tough but not impossible.
I actually hated the SS 1LE for the longest time until I had a Turo GT350 in San Diego cancel on me a week before I was supposed to be there for a bachelor party because the Ford product decided to be a Ford product. Got an 18 SS 1LE and yes the interior, touch points, visibility all suck, BUT...
Hmm, this could work.
I won't be selling my factory knob for the same reasons as Spart, buuuuuut, if you are willing to sell the leather boot alone, I will buy that from you. I actually only need the boot haha.
Not going to lie, this is part of the reason why I bought mine.
FOMO is a bitch and I wish I wasn't a child when the E46 M3 was new.
Why is it when I can afford a brand new M3, they go make them fugly, heavy, AWD (blasphemy), make the manual suck, AND sound bad.
Like the fuck man lol.
The car was benchmarked against the 718 Cayman, not M cars (that would be competition of sorts that BMW does not like).
That's why it's setup much better and has the ability to put down consistent lap times on a half decent setup.
But that's also why it's not as refined as an M car which is...
As someone who has many BMW manual cars, I can say with my limited to 350ish miles on my A91-MT, the manual Supra basically feels like a small 335 or a Z4 35i with a stick.
Take that for what it's worth, but I'm looking at this thing as a DD/street car and not a track tool.
For track use, I...
For over $100k I expect more than a Carrera engine.
Plain and simple.
Chassis wise it's fantastic, but that engine lets down that entire car.
I've had numerous previous 981 GT4 owners admit the same thing to me.
Also, my NA E46 M3 will walk it.
That's sad.
Listen, you aren't wrong.
It is a business and what we say here or even think doesn't matter at all.
All I'm saying is that Toyota has had a horrendous time getting their in demand products to consumer hands without markups or delays.
The US has it's own crash safety regulations that can...
