Wow mate that is ridiculous!
I believe the main differences are you don't get JBL, seats have far less electric settings, the middle part of the seat is alcantara instead of leather, no HUD, (I have the NON Pro 3.0 MT, in Yellow, so essentially... your car! lol).
I hope you decide to keep it...
Not sure if it counts, got a new faraday pouch
- the brown leather-style one in the second photo was a scam on ebay, said it's rfid but tested it zipped up, and car opens and closes as if it wasn't even there at all ?
The new scorpeon pouch works perfectly ? even came with 2 freebie rfid...
Well I suppose it depends on the person, not sure how the cost of them in US compares pro rata to here, but I had a quick look now and for a nice mkiv it'll cost almost as much as a new Supra 3.0 pro which is really crazy!
My Supra is already my personal treat on top of a daily so a mkiV is 100%...
If I had garage space and spare money I'd deffo get a MK4, fully restore it and keep it as a museum piece next to my MK5 and drive it occasionally on a nice day ??
After several months of ownership I realized there is some nitro yellow down here too beyond the diffuser! Let's just say it was beyond filthy as it had never been washed before, I used 3 rags and they went right in the bin. my OCD is now at ease (for a while at least...)
OMG I just checked, I think you're right?! Wtf did they just stop selling the MT for good or is it temporary?
I'll see if I can google it and find anything.
I know it's a trek for most, but after lots of research on this topic, RRG Macclesfield Toyota seems to be a reliable safe place - I brought mine there; ask for Chris.
Gonna be the odd one out... I think they look awesome on your spec!
I feel on a totally stock looking car like mine they would really not fit and be too "loud" but they work a treat on yours, nice.
Extremely expensive though, just saw them for $420 cf on the website. ?
Sorry to hear - mine renews in autumn so will see, I generally see an increase every year, and every year I do the same thing:
1. Get my renewal quite
2. Go to comparison website
3. Get new quotes
4. Find the cheapest quote
5. Ring my insurer to tell them I'm cancelling due to renewal price hike...
A lot of threads on 'clutch slipping' on the new MTs on this forum, in case you want some bedtime reading on the subject of the stock clutch; Just beware it did get pretty wild and messy on those 2 threads and have a large disposal of salt ready to pinch whilst going through it.
Hi mate - are you disabling it 'mechanically' i.e. with the plug(s) in the dash or digitally via the obd/apps?
I'd really like to hear a before and after and your honest opinion, saw some videos on internet but would be cool to hear from a UK spec as it's normally US and their cars are...
Yeah - I never had this issue but I was reading the manual and noticed that paragraph I hadn't seen before and this thread came to mind, as many mentioned it was early on after starting up.
