It's a nice bit of kit, fitment and quality of the parts is pretty damn good. I am happy which says something. Sound wise again I'm happy, would have liked a bit more noise but then that in-turn normally results in more heat soak, higher intake temps etc, so I think it's a good mid point between function and noise. Definitely can feel a bit more throttle response, and my butt dyno says it has a bit more torque / ponies. Would highly recommend it to anyone else in the market.

As for Saturday, I was going to aim for about 10:30.
I'm very close on pulling the trigger on this kit. Can you hear it with the windows up? Have you disabled ASD?

Hi mate - are you disabling it 'mechanically' i.e. with the plug(s) in the dash or digitally via the obd/apps?

I'd really like to hear a before and after and your honest opinion, saw some videos on internet but would be cool to hear from a UK spec as it's normally US and their cars are generally louder by default.

Generally I don't mind it much except when higher in the rev range then it sounds 'tinny' and annoying.

I'll be using Bimmercode, have used it for other coding activities. From what I understand it's only enabled when in sport mode. My car certainly sounds different between normal and sports and it's not the exhaust as my valve is permanently open. So you can test if you're happy with the sound in normal mode I guess. My query was if the intake would be more noticeable with ASD disabled, or in normal mode I guess.
