The race director for Monticello came to our track club for a day and gave a couple lectures and hands on training. I won a drawing to have him ride with me for a session and critique.

I am on Jefferson track friday with FATT group and then doing SCCA time trials Sat on Jefferson again.
Summit has 3 tracks Jefferson is weirdly the least used.

fwiw i heat soak in VA summers only at 450hp on the track. I can agree it is pretty simple to get relative cheap and easy dyno power out of the b58. Number of different paths.
Keeping the engine healthy and longevity requires some serious $$ to keep these cool and safe.
To get back on topic of the thread:
I mount my 9 mil right on the dashboard. I race and track with my pistol secure on the dash in case someone doesn't let me pass easily on the track. They get one warning shot, and then i'm going for your tires.
All the major race seat brands are good.
Most all the brands make different lines of seats.
The difference in seats are basically weight, width, and how far down the line in containment.
weight is basically a decision on how much $ you want to spend to save 5-10-15 lbs.
