All of the Pilot series are compromises. Very good over all tires. But it is hard to make a tire that does everything well- bad weather, relative quiet, acceleration, some track use, etc
better tires out there for specific tasks
If I had to do it all over I might actually buy one of these. Full race car from BMW. Gutted,caged, fully built out, not street legal, doesn’t even come w title, slicks. 135k. Very very fast and this one is set up and maintained by race shop
The Zupra is great track car. Mine is a track toy and has been prepped as such. It handles very sharp and is laser straight and planted on straights. That was probably 140+ at the end of the back stretch
Conversely, while still kinda street legal it is no longer comfy to drive like it was...

But yes, if it makes you feel better the engines that are being scoped and replaced are vertical scoring that point to ring issues.

Pro has a spring loaded clamp that held fine. My problem was the picture was set for the dark interior and the picture out the wind shield was washed out.
I now use a suction cup windshield mount
Love the old M raw connection. The Supra is faster and certainly more tech. But stock it def isolates you a bit from the road. I should sell it, but can’t part with the old M. In fact drove it Friday and today.
right at 7k I have added probably 3 quarts
BUT I track 3 or so times a month. I believe that it is consuming too much even for a track car. Next time low i am going to swing by dealer and start a ticket. I know the service manager and he is aware. Waiting, like everyone, for the TSB...
