Thatās great news & glad to hear your sale went smoothly! My Ft. Myers sales guys was actually very nice. However it was taking too long to get my car so I bought out of state. Their service dept is where my real beef ? is at. Naples service has been worth the short drive (for me).
Hit me up...
Awesome! My main concern is driving at high speed on track. I was getting decent rub during compression over 110+mph at Homestead. Iād prefer to run over the rumbles for a better arc and tracking out. Using the springs that come with the Ohlins arenāt the best option?
Yeah, I suppose the title should say track pads. Itās amazing how many offerings there are out there for our track capable cars. Really makes me even more glad I chose the Supra!
@Drnick and @Shelby Miles ceramic pads are what you are looking for. My wife insists we put those on our other cars...
Looks great @kaj ! Iām debating on doing the whole trailer thing again. I used to do it and drive to tracks farther away. Really trying to keep it local this time, avoid the trailer maintenance, maybe buy a little trailer to tow some tires. Especially since my last blown tire incident last...
I used BMW of Ft. Myers and it was under $200 with all my SPL parts, non spec alignment. However, I do use a race shop that cost about $180. Iād stay away from the big dealers and get the personal attention from an alignment shop, preferably a Hunter alignment machine. You should have more...
Totally :offtopic: ā¦. Good point brother! I actually PM āed @Foogazzi to continue the convo. I should have done It sooner. This is my 1st auto trans in decades and loving it! But I bet even the auto has some odd failures. I really hope it is a limited issue. Weāre all happy Toyota came out with...
I do have the SPL rear toe arms with eccentric lockouts ??
So wasted I had to buy an emergency replacement to get home ?. At least Iām on my way to having a nice set of ārainā tires, backups⦠I definitely need more clearance and ability to adjust the height with this square 275/35-18 setup...
Phenomenal post from Brian as usual! My 2 cents on brake fluid. If you bleed or change it often, youāll never come close to boiling your brake fluid. Youāll stay closer to the dry temps, the fresher the fluid is. Being hydroscopic it draw water easily and your boiling temps will decrease.
I...
Itās purdy⦠The Ford Bronco has sooooooo many colors to choose from, yes my wife was looking ?, and they have something like this one and some other crazy color combos! Yāall should checkout the limited Heritage edition Broncos colors. Iām really hoping she canāt fine one in stock ?
Question being, which one of you have broken the most bones? At the track we talk about broken car parts ? But yāall are on a completely other level! I remember one guy telling me he was worried about his bike during a fall, so he made sure he place himself between the pavement and where the...
Ohlins are in route. I got the last āin stockā ones from Turner MS for under $3k, the RSR cancellers from Jackie PHD, more tires from Maxxis (way too much rub on my low height Eibach US spec springs) and Hawk DTC 60 brakes pads. Really ate up the Paragon pads. Could have been from the extensive...
Thanks Jacob. Itās called Veterans Trust. If not in your area, you could ask your club manager if theyād be willing to have them. It was smart on Chin Trackdays part. I love their brand/club even more now. The veterans trust group set up huge tents, the people were amazing, really made my track...
Beautiful @Foogazzi and lucky Phil! Both of you guys need to come over to the booring side and track your Supras, if you arenāt already. The best drivers tracking their Porsches, Supras, Vettes, MX5s have either a carting or bike background, for sure! Yāall will take to it like a bee on honey ...
I know itās not super flashy but thatās āļø the gold yellow I was talking about. For some reason itās just right (for me). I canāt even remember when it came out. But thatās what got me looking again in the BMW marketplace. I told myself Iād get one someday and wound up with this Supra. Funny how...
Just a quick mention for anyone doing a lot of tracking. Under high speeds and compression these springs may be too low (or perhaps soft). Iām getting tire rub & therefore switching to Ohlins coilovers. Just wanted yāall to be aware - if your intent is to do lots of track days. Also, Iām on...
