Amazing what a difference! And Jesseās no pressure attitude is hugely helpful! I bought a heat exchanger from him and heās willing to do the logs later with me. After installed and hotter in Aprilā¦.
Another buddy who knows even less about cars than me (because he was asking my advice ?) bought...
I donāt mind the CEL light and my catless dp with AWE exhaust sounds like a beast! The JB4 adds some more boost if you donāt feel the stock is enough power. Jesse at 1FastSupra does a fantastic job on a custom tune & making it smoother.
If questioning anything, stick with stock as much as you...
Agree with @razorlab on not āneedingā the CSGs. I would definitely use his recommendation of project Mu if he likes em, since he tracks so much and mega credible. I used Hawks and absolutely loved them. I originally thought they werenāt enough and was wrong.
SPL bits and sway bars great way to go!
I do at times. That chassis code seems to be the most common talking to others at the track. So Iām learning whatās the easiest fix for me being very computer illiterate. Local dealer in my area isnāt at that level yet. :)
But those mounts look sweet! Good luck on hitting the sweet spot with it ?
Anything not above MSRP is HUGE to meā¦. Silly personal thing but that makes all the difference in the world. Everything else I buy is at a stated price. I donāt get to the checkout counter at the grocery store only to be told thatās the most exclusive milk in the world and I should pay more.
My mechanic did it as well. I absolutely love the feel and will eventually track less like you @DarkZupra . But it feels so damn good Iāve been tracking more ?
Edit: I realize this is an old thread but was looking for your build page and found this ?
Wonder after you get it hooked up if itās better than the OEM one in my 2022 premium? Mine has so many glitches⦠Or could be just fighting the Toyota/BMW software. LIke playing satellite radio and going to CarPlay maps will force it to play Spotify (if that was on last on my phone). Have to go...
And donāt really need to tune for track rats ? like myself. I did a JB4 custom piggyback tune in my ālockedā 2022 for fun. But the unlocked ECU is a giant rabbit hole for people that want to really play with their cars for huge HP gains or drag race. For some people thatās fun as hell⦠it...
So true! Can do this on about any thread⦠The human body is the same way. There is no one size that fits all. Hence an open mind and grain of salt approach is usually a great place to start, imo.
Played an iOS game for a while and learned about Discord. Perfect name for the gaming chat app ...
It can seem that way... Lotta peeps can be very opinionated but helpful as hell, imo. I take everything with a grain of salt and learn something new every day. Thatās why this thread is fun! Hope the @cbring doesnāt take it that way ā?
My way is the best btw ? (in my mind)
I donāt of the latest⦠It turned into a SPL part workshop between my Hunter alignment shop and SPL. They went back and forth on some of the bolts that came with the parts. Ultimately SPL offered to send me another control arm (sounds crazy but totally forgot!) and my alignment guru went and...
Thanks for the advice! Iāve done that on all my previous track cars. I always carry a pair of cans to the track and try not to fall below ā of a tank. My 1st track day was hotter than hell. So had to turn my JB4 off to avoid limp mode. But down here in Florida, all the fast Supra guys donāt mess...
Canāt even recall how many motorcross dudes Iāve met over the years, scratching my head wondering how they know so much about driving lines, momentum driving, and catching on so quickly to what we do on track⦠So that makes more sense in his case :)
Yeah man! Iām not at your competition level and new to the Supra but itās fun every time a fellow Porsche or Vette person comes over to gasp at the car and want to learn more about it ?
