Donāt know the dude or chick but itās not stock for sure and likely had a severe diet. Also could be a coaching lap listed, as in a IMSA real pro (not club instructor or racing amateur). Occasionally someone really competitive pays to have a someone give them a baseline lap. I canāt wait to do...
Absolutely! Thereās an old thread on this. Hard to scroll thru. The OP doesnāt appear to be updating it (the 1st page with the list of tracks). So @kaj said heās willing to get one up and running if someone can help with the spreadsheet and ease of update. Do you know how to do this so we can...
Bam ? ?? Great times!!!
Thereās another thread for this and @kaj and @Afterfire were kind enough to suggest actually start an up to date working page. And with someone smart like @adawine, it might even be possible to have one thatās easily updatable w/out turning into some monster pages of...
I remember doing this with a drag car guy, buddy, long ago. Was thinking, wtf⦠But it worked! Great reminder/suggestion!!!!! Thx @kaj ?
Certainly doesnāt hurt to try
We had a VW GLI that my wife still misses (great gas mileage, good service dept here in my town, great engine). And weāve always had some kind of 2 seater in our garage. When the kids were little, a SUV was a must for all the crap my wife liked to drag around. A sedan would have never done it...
Thatās beautiful ? man. Love that wing!
Iām doing exactly the same thing and currently at -3 camber all the way around. I donāt have the wing but will thankfully learn from your previous experience ?. Glad you and all the other track nuts ? are on here making my MX5 to Supra beast ? mode even...
When thereās a will thereās a way. Every dealer down here in Florida told me you canāt get an MSRP 2022 with red interior with the grey exterior combo I wanted. If one came along, $10k over sticker would be reasonable they would tell me. Long story short, that just made me more determined to get...
Better than popping it, hahaha⦠At least for daily driving. Finding that sweet spot where you donāt even think about it. But yeah, I coast up and never fully release the clutch all the time in traffic. Not a lot of hills here. NYC traffic would be awful! I used to live in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale...
Same setup for me, track just for fun and love my Maxxis Victra RC-1s ?. They have been the best grip for the buck that I can find out there. Get so many track days out of those suckers and feel glued!!
If in gear, most āhill assistā manual cars will hold the brake for about 3 seconds, to allow you to find that engagement spot where youāre in control and can hold the car there. That being the key & getting comfortable where that engagement is (used to be called riding the clutch). Itās...
Dude, Iām so boring that I always stare at this coffee/cream colored Porsche I see at the track ?. It just looks soooooo classy, imo. Somewhere on this massive forum somebody posted a cream looking Supra. Te gusta! I like ?
Definitely try a spec alignment from a really good shop. And they do make tires with a higher treadwear on Tirerack and other places. Spec alignment with really high tread wear should be a win win for what youāre looking for ??
Nice setup! I was really happy with the Hawk DTC 60s on my stock premium 3.0 rotors. Youāre probably right in that itās the rotors. Drove in really bad rain from Ft. Myers/Naples to Miami/Homestead on the new Paragon pads. I canāt fault the pads. A friend runs on them and absolutely loves them...
Thatās surprising! I know I get way too many alignments. But things get out of whack pretty easily when you install stuff. A really good shop makes a big difference. Have you tried a race shop that is familiar with aftermarket parts?
Yeah, sound like why mess with it and just throw the new rotors on, from yāallās advice. The OEM rotors donāt have any blue tint, visible cracks, or ridges other than the lip on the edge from good use. If it wasnāt for this new pad shudder, Iād definitely try and get more use out of em⦠Love the...
