  1. Restraint / Drivetrain error after rebuild.

If you could specify what exactly needs to be done and what parts they need again, I can definitely find someone local to me who can take care of this. But yeah, it's such a pain not being able to resolve this issue myself or outside the dealership ecosystem.
  2. Restraint / Drivetrain error after rebuild.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but I've been having this same issue after getting my car back from the body shop. I've dropped it off at the Toyota dealership and emailed them this thread. Anything else specific any of you guys told them or any independent people I can talk to(I'm basically...
  3. How’s the damage?

Due to how far in advance basically every body shop is scheduling appointments, you may be looking at 9 months to a year, depending on who you call. Check out: Seattle Partners — Avants for some good alternatives.
  4. How’s the damage?

Yeah, probably looking in the $10-15k range for repairs, and several months with how backed up shops are here. AVOID COLLISION MASTERS IN REDMOND LIKE THE PLAGUE -- I had a miserable time with them getting my car fixed. You can file a diminished value claim against whoever crashed into you...
  5. What did you do to your Supra today?

Replaced the brakes, P2uned kit through @Jesse DaBears . Absolutely in love with the look and the feel. Bias is on point, and it stops on a dime.
  6. What did you do to your Supra today?

IRL, got the CSF heat exchanger installed. Also watched the Gran Turismo movie, and with its inspiration, took my in-game version of my Supra (although on racing slicks) and put up a PB of 7:01.9 on the Nurburgring.
  7. Sport mode or not??

Sport mode mostly. Since you're in the PNW, it goes into normal mode when I'm in Bellevue or Redmond when the cops are hunting for loud exhaust ticket revenue.
  8. Dang near killed myself!

Traction control usually works by measuring rates of wheelspin between corners as well as compared to road speed while stability control usually works by measuring steering angle vs sensors to determine movement direction (on a high level). Both are designed to keep you going where you want to...
  9. What did you do to your Supra today?

Had our local PNW BMW guru check out the Supra b/c the traction control was locked on. Looks like the Supra will need a trip to the dealership to get the steering alignment sensor reset. It does mean the Supra is going to miss out on my August track day :(
  10. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

As much as I think the Z is a letdown, when I drove the Elantra N, it was extremely poor in driving dynamics compared to a GRC, ND2 Miata, and V60 Polestar. The throttle was way too sensitive for my taste, unsettling the car between understeer and lift off oversteer when pushing it through...
  11. Eating/Drinking in New Car

Water is ok, along with packaged food that's not gonna leak, but I will pull over and eat the food outside the car.
  12. Is supra your daily (or only) car?

Never a daily, as I was working from home for the pandemic and my current job is walkable. It used to be my only car, but some road rage maniacs, stupid drivers who almost hit my car not checking their mirrors, and a minor fender bender which kept the Supra out of business far too long made me...
  13. trash site

Doable with 1L, but probably safer with 1.5L.
  14. What did you do to your Supra today?

They squeak a little when cold and are dusty as expected, but much better stopping power.
  15. What did you do to your Supra today?

Finally got her back from the body shop after her fender bender. She got to meet the baby brother GRC.
  16. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

People with more money than sense here in the PNW.
  17. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

The Proto in Bellevue, WA that was listed for $130k did sell. My guess is $100k after it sat around for a while.
  18. Verus heat shield functionally

PNW, so our summer temps don't really go past 80-85 deg F. It's been 2 years since I installed it, but I do remember pre-shielding that the intake temps were around 135-145 degrees; after it, it was running around 120 degrees. All stock at the time.
  19. Formula 1 Talk

I might have to try it in VR. There's a spot on the apex (not the sausage kerb) of turn 1 that can cause the Super Formula cars to spin if you don't lift at it, and I struggle to see it on my TV. It doesn't upset road cars, but I hate that it ruins the SF lap times I'm doing. Basically problems...
  20. Supra Sessions June 25th

Same, looks like the turnout was huge.
