God I hate Red Bull Ring with a passion. I've tried to find anything to like about it between F1 and all sorts of cars in GT7, but it just sucks. All the track violations feel like they validated my feelings.
A titanium exhaust and lightweight battery will move more weight to the front, but will save you ~40 pounds each.
Pads: CSG should be good, I've only heard good things.
If money is not an issue, this aero kit exists.
It's a far jump to go from "the car is way better than the others" to "he's leagues better than all the other drivers, two legends included, because his teammate has been struggling to perform for 3 races".
If you were to hypothetically swap Max into the Merc or Aston, I don't think he's going...
The RB is so damn good that Max doesn't really need to push beyond 9.5/10 to beat everyone else. In the Canadian GP, he had a bird in an intake and wasn't really even pushing and still won comfortably. I'd say Lewis and Alonso would be very similar if we swapped them into the RB and they learned...
I went high flow catted and that was much more lively in sport mode. Then added in the Titan titanium exhaust, and that really amped up the noise at all times. It provides a very nice resonance in the cabin.
Given how long it was listed, I don't think it went for $130k, but my guess was in the ballpark of $100k since it's a Proto spec. Still, way too much money. Even the premium spec Zs based on track performance feel like they shouldn't be more than high $40k.
I've seen 1 in Naperville, Illinois when I was visiting for my cousin's graduation. None in the Seattle area, but @WSUPRA did see the one which was listed for $130k.
Got a 21 base with the tech package, so I got the driver aids and larger infotainment. I'm not a fan of HUDs in general, so I don't really care about that. My seats are alcantara with the bolsters, supports, and headrest being leather; it's nice in the summer that my seat isn't burning hot, as...
I agree with your thoughts on sport mode; knowing when it kicks in gives me insight into if I've overdone a corner, but still offers some peace of mind that the car isn't going to spin off. It feels great going through sessions not lighting up the VSC but getting faster.
Also, on the Ridge...
Too many variables to have one set number: different fuel quality, air pressure, temperature, variability from engine to engine and exact drivetrain loss, dyno calibration to name the big ones.
If you want a more accurate number, you'd need to find an engine dyno.
Full disclosure, I did start tracking with the Supra. It seems like the biggest thing is attitude, and going in assuming you know nothing is probably the best attitude to take in. It really helps, as you said, to get instruction especially on a new track regardless of experience, chatting and...
