Gonna be sad if this was Danny Ric's last race. F1 is gonna miss his presence.
However, I do think VCARB sending him out to steal the fastest lap from Norris when he wasn't eligible for getting the point (since he was out of the top 10 with no shot of making it in) is pretty obvious collusion...
End of an era if that was Danny Ric's last race, gonna miss his driving.
Also if Lando loses the driver's championship by 1 point, there's no doubt Red Bull using Danny and VCARB to take the fastest lap point is going to be called into question.
He gave the shortest responses in a press conference today and held a separate press conference outside to stick the finger up at the FIA. It was hilarious to watch!
I'd put it a bit more on Checo since he's the one behind in the vortex of danger, with better visibility on what's happening, and having space to the left. Both were going for Charles' slipstream and Sainz lost Checo's exact positioning in his blind spot since he lost ground with the understeer...
The helmet is a must if you're planning on doing this regularly. There are places that rent helmets out with helmet socks, but I'd much rather not use a helmet that someone else has been sweating in.
DOT4 braking fluid is not mandatory, but really nice to have. It will give you peace of mind...
The one without the brace could be a 2020. IIRC those didn’t come with it.
As for power, the clutch is the weak point in the manuals (i wanna say around 450-500), while the transmission will start slipping in the autos, but you can get in the ballpark of 600-700whp and wtq before that
I've enjoyed my combo of auto Supra and manual GR Corolla on track and on fun drives. The Supra is one of those cars where the auto is so well sorted out that you're not really making a wrong choice IMO.
Car felt brilliant on track yesterday. New PB with my first time out on 200TWs. I did notice the rear end is twitchy on braking, which made me feel a little less confident, even though the new brake setup does allow me to brake much later. It would definitely help improving on my time. Any...
It's late in the PNW track season (big life events kept me busy for a while), but finally getting the Supra out for a track day tomorrow at the Ridge. First time on 200TWs now that I have the GRC to handle shitty weather like the rainy track day in June.
I agree on the price point and running costs being insane for the 718 GT4 ($125-140k USD listings) compared to a $55-60k car.
But having been on track with a buddy in a 981 GT4, that car has face-numbing levels of grip when cornering. The torque curve also allows the driver to just give it the...
Looking back at qualification and race results, it's only the post-summer break Mclaren (Zandvoort and Monza) that's been driving off into the distance. Weird how Red Bull fans classify the car a shitbox if it isn't winning by at least 15 seconds in the race and 3/10s clear in quali and actually...
Coming up on 4 years in December with 23k miles now. Used to be a regularly driven car, but now mostly for the track and on nice days, and occasionally going to the office when I don't feel like walking or taking the GRC.
That being said, the GRC being the shed did lower my annual Supra mileage.
our local shop used them since they didn’t have issues with other customers but he decided to be an a-hole on mine. Glad I got the ECU back and its fine, but definitely going through someone else for FEMTO if i get another BMW
Late update but FEMTO unlocked and tuned with MHD.
Very disappointing experience with Visconti though when the local shop I went through got radio silence from them and then I got angry words for following up myself after the ECU had been away for close to a month.
