The C7 Z51 is slightly heavier. Weight wise, the Supra feels similar on the track. The difference is the seating position being farther back. The Supra feels like you're steering a boat from the back because the seat is behind the center of mass
But as for weight between the BRZ and Supra, the...
It's the only car in the parking spot, so it does have some grocery-getter usage, but not a daily since I work from home. I don't drive it hard if I'm doing errands in downtown Seattle.
If it hits the highway however, at the minimum, it's going faster than 95% of traffic. And if it's a planned...
Cruised with some friends to enjoy the last half decent day in a while. Had some fun and have reached the conclusion that I don't feel confident enough to do more than spirited driving on the all seasons in the PNW winter.
We just had false spring up in the NW, that 1-2 weeks where it goes to 60 degrees and is sunny, and out of left field, it goes back to low 40s and rain.
Really? I had bimmercode on mine, and the dealer who did my recall didn't have any issues. I just had to redo the bimmercode settings afterwards, as expected.
Finally got the fronts changed out to the Continental all-seasons on the OEM set, after weeks of waiting for an appointment. Gonna give it a quick test drive today to get the TPMS reset.
Kinda sucks that it took so long for the all-seasons to come in and get installed. Summer tires will be here...
The usual. "You can't call the car an A90 because it's a BMW...you don't own a real Supra...", and a bunch of other nonsense. So basically Mk5 internet troll speak.
I believe Europe got stuck with the 2 port models.
As for color, I'm a bit biased, but I'd go with white. The pearl finish is 100% worth the extra maintenance to keep it clean, especially when you catch the sunlight off it.
For $1100, this is a god awful job. It shouldn't have any imperfections like you see for that much. Hopefully, you can get reimbursed or they should fix it.
Damn, that's absolute rotten luck. Hopefully the parts come in soon, and there's no mishaps on the replacement.
Nice work on the documentation and keep us posted if you learn anything else going forward!
Using "A90" for the MkV Supra is as ubiquitous as using the term "weed" for marijuana. Calling out people for using commonly accepted terms colloquially is just being unnecessarily pedantic.
