I'd keep the power mods relatively tame if you plan on using it year round. I've got a JB4 map 2 + dp + intake, around 450 whp and I'll be running 265/295 PS4S for summer track work and cruising , and they still grip in Seattle rain. Got some all-season Contis for winter, but I also generally...
Ended up being $1000 to get the holes filled and a repaint. The shop here did a great job. I had to pay another $1200 for a new PPF and ceramic as well.
Saw your post on Reddit and responded there, but might as well respond here for anyone who finds this first: in stock form, it's in between the two. Softer than track-first cars like a 911 GT3 and your Camaro, but stiffer than any luxury sedans. Sport mode does stiffen up the ride quite a bit...
Best to look in here: Anyone running TITAN-7 TS-5 in 19X9.5 +35 / 19X11 +40? Tire suggestions? | Page 2 | SupraMKV - 2020+ Toyota Supra Forum (A90 MKV Generation)
For myself, I'm going 265/35/19 and 295/35/19 for 19" TS-5s on PS4S, since they are good in rain and some of the better options...
I'm hoping to talk to some tire companies tomorrow and see if I can preorder before their global release on March 1st. It's a pain in the ass trying to find PS4S or Super Sports that are 265 and 295 anywhere; Tire Rack especially is pissing me off with their "in stock" bullshit basically...
It's definitely the same car. I don't know the details either, but you can see the lack of a rear bumper and the wheel wobbling in videos people post on the local car-related facebook groups. It all appeared to have just happened between one sighting and the next.
I'm not really worried. The design of the wheel well makes the risk virtually negligible and engines are designed with tolerances for environmental wear taken into account.
The weather here in Seattle is worse in the winter -- we have our crew who cruise together, but considering it's cold and damp, not many are on the streets. I see more in the summer for sure.
Driven aggressively, I'd say the vast majority of performance cars are at some point driven like they've been stolen.
I'd say there's a correlation between maintenance (note this doesn't mean reliability) and market value of the car.
As for under-maintained, I'd say the worst example I've...
I've had the MST V2 on for almost 8 months and 6000 miles, and I haven't noticed any debris in the intake area at all. I've opened up the intake twice to change the lid and do the gold wrap on the intake pipe, and there's no debris or anything.
The lid did have some fitment issues, but nothing...
Same here, I'd prefer one with regular maintenance.
Track days are expensive, so I'd figure people who track their cars maintain them for the amount of stress a track day applies on a car, so making sure the fluids are fresh, the pads aren't worn, and so on, is even more important. Not to...
Come to think of it, it may no longer be a stretch to try to see if there's a social media presence for the car and see if previous owners were ever putting strain on the car, like street racing or drifting.
