Model code designation? / Why do we use the A90 name for the 5th Gen Supra?

You may think I don’t like it judging by my username but I couldn’t care less so long as the correct chassis code is known. I’m someone who needs to be correct. Not as in I need to be right and you need to be wrong, but I can’t stand having my facts wrong. So long as someone is not saying A90 is the actual chassis code and just using it to differentiate the model then have at it.

I don't think it's any more interesting than any other car ever made-- especially from some "heritage" or "legacy" standpoint.

literally just chose this car cuz I thought it looked cool. Its faster than my old miata which is a plus ? but not really nessa for me... managed to get around fine with the miata.

The cartoony widebody look was a big part of the appeal.

How could one be filled with so much vitriol that they join a community of a thing that they despise just to be angry and demean others. It seems like a waste of energy. But it seems to be a favorite pastime for many people in this world.

Using "A90" for the MkV Supra is as ubiquitous as using the term "weed" for marijuana. Calling out people for using commonly accepted terms colloquially is just being unnecessarily pedantic.
