AA catted downpipe installed! The pops felt louder and the note sounded a bit deeper on the way back home. Hopefully I can pull some great audio clips on a cruise I'm doing with some buddies on Saturday.
From the provided specs on the Z forum link, the only real selling points to me seem to be the MT and creature comforts like Android Auto. I could see the Performance trim being a reasonable alternative if it were about $45k; more than that, I'd say the 21s offer a lot more performance for a...
The pricing may be up end of September or so. I don't have a picture, but the car also had a titanium single exit JDM style angled exhaust. Sounded brilliant!
I was out at Pacific on a 95 degree day. Low 30s cold translated to about 40 warmed up on the stock PSSs. Might need to go down to about 27 cold to stay in a mid 30s hot range.
Yup. Think I might've gotten lucky. I'm kind of disappointed they're cancelling everything when they don't have a fix ready and also made it clear what to avoid doing to cause the problem.
26 here, and definitely an exception. I also work in software, so I'm a few years ahead of the curve financially.
I'm actually not sure Mk5s will depreciate to the point where 20-somethings will be regularly buying them, and its unlikely the average 20-something's financial situation that was...
I'm still on stock tires and I wasn't using launch control. I was running Map2 since I was on a tank of 93, which is 4 pounds of boost over stock, which the JB+ also does. The power difference is much more noticeable from a roll than a dig because of the traction difference. I mainly want the...
Moreso over the weekend, but got the JB4 installed on the car, did a couple pulls and saw plenty of wheelspin all the way through second gear. Considering wider rears and moving onto PS4s.
Alternatively, it might be your tires. Once you start adding more power mods like a downpipe, JB4, etc., the stock rears are too skinny to put that power down, so you just end up with wheelspin. You might want to look at 295 rears.
Here's the parts the dealership ordered for mine: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/trunk-is-stuck-and-wont-open.9137/post-136094
Shouldn't take more than a day once they get the parts.
In no particular order:
Switch to 5w/30 oil, the 0w/20 is quite thin
Bimmercode for quality of life improvements
Maybe dial down the sensitivity of the safety system. Lane Keep Assist can get overly intrusive when lanes merge or when going into left lanes for turning
Tape down the emergency...
The problem is that the handle falling off means that you run the risk of the latch being pulled open when you shut the trunk, which can potentially break the locking mechanism. You just want to make sure the wire the handle is attached to doesn't have full tension when you're closing the trunk...
