The car even set the security alarm off when I opened the hood to cool down after a track run with cooldown lap by reaching through the driver side door (had the windows down) with the doors locked.
Did this yesterday, but was way too tired afterwards. Did an HPDE all day lesson (not the NASA-sponsored one, just a discounted local one) and did use my complimentary one to get a booking for some lapping to get accredited to go around solo.
The stock car is absolutely brilliant on the track...
Did an HPDE and got my complimentary Supra event scheduled to get my track certification. The stock Supra was arguably one of the most sorted cars on the track.
Yeah, also in Seattle, and I've heard some police were getting ticket happy for high dollar cars without fronts, especially Teslas. Should've told them to let me deal with the front install, but they bolted on the factory option.
Sort of related, I did notice the engine was quite hot after a 100 degree day here in Seattle yesterday (just a quick grocery run, no hard driving), so I did pop the hood for 5 minutes for a faster cooldown.
For my commute to work: my own two feet. My office is in the city, and it's not worth spending $20+ a day in parking.
The Supra's my only car, so it's the track car, the weekend cruiser, the grocery hauler, and everything else apart from a large family road trip car.
Mine's been a week, and farther than 15-20 feet away, it looks satin black as well. I also got some gloss black A91 replica stripes and the Rexspeed wing, and it gives the car a much more aggressive track look.
@SupraBC , About 3 hours from Seattle/Bellevue; we did a day trip, but there were others who booked hotels there for the weekend. We took US-2 and turned off and took a detour around some smaller roads around Lake Wenatchee. There's a killer stretch on the Chumstick Highway that was great fun to...
I was reading somewhere that this is due to some rule in Germany where display speed has to be a bit higher than actual speed?
For removing it, Bimmercode is the way to go.
I have one planned for the 28th. I'm hoping I see something on the Supra site in the next two weeks or so; otherwise I'll reach out again to see if they can get something on the cards.
Anyone from the Pacific NW hear anything about complimentary track days at Pacific Raceways? The website lists Pacific Raceways but I haven't seen any Pacific Raceway option for a couple of weeks now.
The drive to Thunderhill is also quite a long trip, so I'd prefer it to be closer.
