The emergency release came loose and lost all tension -- it's normally supposed to work like one of those inflatable pull tabs on a life vest. I had looked back there when I tried getting it unstuck myself, and you could see that the paneling wasn't even -- something was bent or moved in...

Toyota has to get a code from BMW to activate your nav -- your dealership should be the people handle this.

Been a while, so I thought I'd update you. Parts took a while to come in, and a tech took training to fix the issue. They only got all the parts in yesterday and it took a day to fix. Parts are listed in the invoice.

I did about 500 miles -- 9 hours -- in a day. Regular driving got me about 31-33 mpg on I-5. The seats are fairly comfortable. The ride is hard, but expected for sports cars. Got out for 2 fillups (left on 1/4 tank and drove about 60 miles for some cheaper fuel) and for pictures -- it does help...

I wish you could bring yours down south to Seattle. It would be nice to include our Vancouver friends in the PNW A90 group.

stock on 92 (no 93 afaik in WA state) -- spirited mountain driving -- but not constantly near redlining it -- gets me 20-22mpg (sport + manual). Highway cruising (regular + automatic) got me up to 31-33mpg anywhere between 60-100mph and smooth throttle usage. I'll see what track use gets me at...

It's been working for me. Check your Waze settings, you might not have sound settings on "All alerts" or its equivalent.

Agreed here. Not the same quality, they only do 1/3 of the hood which leaves an ugly demarcation line, and it cost almost as much as I paid for a full body PPF + ceramic coat.

Did you install it yourself or with a shop? Did you get bolting instructions? Also, how does it perform (any wobbling or anything) at higher speeds (80+)?

Magic Toyota -- they have a Supra tech. I got an update this morning. The tech is flying out next week, and they've ordered some replacement parts for the trunk latch, so I'll be taking it back in on Tuesday. I'm bringing the car home for the weekend since it's way too nice not to have it for now.

Update again: The dealership hasn't been able to get the trunk unstuck, and Toyota may be sending an engineer to take a look.

For the trunk issue, did you take it into Toyota or BMW for a fix, or a 3rd party mechanic?

How far up (inches or centimeters) is each stripe from the gap between the trunk and the rear quarter panel? I'm trying to get my measurements right before I put my stripes on. The reference picture doesn't feel like the best reference point for me.
