Dude! Don't do the flow license plate bracket. If you can get the car delivered without the nose being molested, there are much better ways to afix a number plate to our cars!
Yup. I picked up a MHD super license during black Friday and as I am not chasing big power, opting for the Stage 2+ OTS tune. If I need to I'll employ a tuner, but I'm hoping the off the shelf tune will get the job done.
Removed the best bang for buck performance boost in preparation for some Femto action.
And went for a short drive to clear the DME. Predictably, the car felt a little less urgent and interestingly, quieter - especially on downshifts with auto-rev matching turned on.
I'll remove the DME next...
While I understand your pain, this is literally the first time I have seen someone complain about the panel gaps on an MKV. Maybe it was just a Friday build.. it happens. Good that its an easy fix at any rate.
Stage 2+/HPFP Question:
MHD lists Stage 2+ OTS map as requiring the HPFP to be upgraded.. I seemed to recall this isn't really necessary?
I'm on a stock airbox, upgraded charge and intake pipe with a 200 cel cat DP. Also running 98RON (93) exclusively.
With reliability being my main...
On a Stage 2/2+ MHD OTS tune (93 only), should plugs be changed more often? Manual says 24 months but would 12 months be more prudent?
Worth it or nah?
I have the standard gunmetal wheels and before owning this car wasn't a believer of ceramic coatings.. at all. The coating just makes detailing easier - especially keeping the paintwork clean.
The wheels do get a little dirty but the coating along and the colour seems to keep things in check...
Just to clarify.. I don't have matte wheels and not sure if they need special treatment. Having said that, if I did have matte wheels, I'd use the same process unless told otherwise. ?
I don't think its so critical. As my wheels have a ceramic coating, I can almost get away with just spraying on wheel cleaner and then after a beat, rinsing it off. Every few washes I use a dedicated mircofibre wash mitt and then blow dry.. if I have battery left after drying the rest of the car.
Tell me your odometer was reset by the dealership, without telling me your odometer was reset by the dealership.
Beyond needing to be driven some throughout the shipping process, my understanding is that our cars in particular need to be driven a bit as part of the PDI process. ?‍♂️
The placebo relates to the perceived effect, not the physicality of the change. Take the CDV delete, for example: The CDV is physically removed but does it actually make the car better to drive? After a few months living with it deleted, it's much of a muchness.
