Not that I am aware. I'd be surprised if anyone in an Australian dealership could spell Supra, let alone find parts for one. I'm trying to source a European outlet as all their manuals come with red badges as @MA617M mentioned earlier.
Yeah.. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the quality. Just the colouring.. it might be spot on as I haven't seen one in red in real life. The one in your photo certainly looks redder but sometimes photos can be deceiving!
For $25AUD, I can't really complain much lol.
Any news on this?
I picked up a cheap bootleg from Aliexpress and the quality is pretty good although it looks a little on the orange side to my eye. Anyone have an original in red to compare?
I actually agree. I've never owned a convertible but have driven one on holiday a few times and getting sunburned wasn't in the handbook! I think it's just a nice option to have and between sunroof, convertible and targa, I think for me, the targa hits the spot.
Unfortunately, if we take this argument to its logical conclusion, it is not unreasonable to suggest that eventually a fully automatic (robotic) car that just requires a push button to go really fast will likely be faster than any human operated system.
And then we all lose.
I like cars. I like to drive them. If that makes me an enthusiast, so be it. I don't care about a car's "heritage" or its brand or how many cars are sold or which designer was responsible. If it's a great car, who gives a shit.
And this whole nameplate thing is ridiculous.. it's just marketing...
As someone who currently drives an old FN2 Type R.. while I wait for Toyota to actually get off their ass and build me a Supra.. the new Type R is positively hideous.
Even if the Honda design team got it right, The Type R is always going to be a car of compromises. Sure it might be more...
There's a lot of assumptions there and I sincerely doubt the validity of all of them. For one, Toyota has plenty of bread and butter cars to cover any poor Supra profits. Secondly, car sale disaster stories are usually a lot more compicated than a transmission choice!
In my inconsequential (and...
Umm.. you just glossed over these two sentences you quoted which are actually 100% accurate. Bias is everywhere, especially in the eye of the beholder!
This.
Unfortunately the MKV community is made up mostly of early adopters who ended up in an auto. And that auto is the greatest.. just ask them. ? Interestingly I’ve never seen any one with the “insert city traffic” or “been driving manual for 20 years and I’m over it” or “aUtOs ArE FaStEr”...
I honestly think its bullshit. Alcantara was the reason given for mine being delayed, except I saw one in my spec was delivered in Sydney last week.
After spending the morning making calls across the state and hearing every reason under the sun, I now firmly believe a) nobody really knows...
