Thanks mate. It's a compelling little unit. I just wish it could be set to be used as a shift light only. Another question if you wouldn't mind answering, does the shift light operate in all display settings or just when displaying RPM?
Yeah, I hear you. The Supra specs suggest it is slightly higher than my FN2 Type R and I compared it with an auto Supra (sold) at my stealer last week.. and the specs seem on the money.
And yes, I scrape my Type R a fair bit but only because after 15 years I've relaxed my care factor and I've...
Yeah.. I couldn't care less to be honest. It's just a bit of fun, really. We drive what we drive for reasons that are personal to us; be they financial, sentimental, or in the case of the Z, stupid.
See what I did there? ?
The Internal Combustion Engine is dead, no matter how much we want that to not be true. This is your last opportunity to get onboard with a new, relatively affordable manual rear wheel drive sportscar.
Any company betting on ICE at this stage in the game is betting on a guaranteed loser.

This is why that GR badge is coming off my car as soon as it hits my garage. The watering down of the //M badge is just a way to spread the halo to lower priced cars to try and make everyone feel like the drive an //M car.
GR will be the same. Our problem is that making every Toyota owner feel...
My Toyota dealer was adamant that there will not be a Targa due to non-compete agreements. As much as we hope its not true, I don't see any major changes happening in a car that is due for obsolescence in two years. Just doesn't make fiscal sense as these cars are already selling like hotcakes...
Despite being ugly as sin with poor performance? It's somehow claimed to be a "Supra Killer" but it slugs it out with 86s. From every aspect, the Z is at least one tier below the A90.
And the mods putting a NISSAN Z button on the top bar and calling it "The Competition" aren't really helping...
Maybe in a few years when the NISMO hits the market, we might have a fair fight.. yeah nah probably not, but we gotta give them fairlady's something to hope for.
At least this one looks finished. ?
At what point can we just accept that the new Z is in no way worthy of competing with the MKV Supra?

I was in a similar boat - It was always going to be a MY23 MKV or a MY23 M2.
Here in Oz, a spec'ed up M2 is about $20-30k USD more expensive here than a "premium" Supra. For me it was a tough call as the Supra exterior has the M2 covered while the M2 interior has the Supra covered. Engine wise...
In Australia, Supra MSRP went up $500AUD between MY22 and MY23.. so not much. And sorry guys, there's no markups here.. although some stealers do to try and fit stupid extras though to price gouge that way.
