    Production date doesn't matter. Pull the ECU and check it there. Only takes a minute. But you should be fine. You can almost certainly bench unlock.

    I've seen the removed and bondo'd or whatever, and it looks awful. Something there is better than nothing, but nearly anything is better than the factory badges.

    As a software engineer, who dabbles in hardware- this specific failure is extremely unlikely as well. Just a single system? A single subsystem of a system? A subsystem of a subsystem? Idk, sounds like a sensor.

    CAN is great, but it's a pretty "stupid" protocol. It basically just 'fails.' I'd personally be in the back of this thing with my volt meter checking to see if I'm getting voltage at the sensor.

    Honestly doesn’t even sound like the BCM, but wiring or the deck lid sensor.

    There is some stuff, but not like the 3.0, that’s why I asked. There are exhausts, intakes, downpipes.. bolt on stuff. JB4 works for tuning as well. @R_R8TED put a nice 2.0 together. If you planning on modding hard, you’ll kick yourself for not going 3.0.
