I did the Russia thing. Clone to BMW unlockable ECU. Works great.

The exhaust manifold is different. 2 exhaust ports vs 6 exhaust ports. This means the heat shield is formed differently to accommodate.

They are engine specific, but also the harnesses vary slightly.

Fishing line, heat gun, WD40, trim tool. microfiber towel. Eventually I got it all off.

regarding my post: I'm using/was using the word 'core' to refer to OEM core. I would consider a knock-off core.. not the core. I.E. Drive Shaft Shop wouldn't take aftermarket axles as the core.

Don't they all use factory cores? I thought they all used factory cores. I haven't looked into this for a while, but they should absolutely identical. The differences would be in quality of CF, assembly, leather, etc. etc.

OP, are you looking at the CF Window Spolier? Agree with @NitroYellowMKV a photo or link would be helpful.
