I'd expect somewhere in the area of 10hp for a downpipe alone. It doesn't matter without a tune, but it becomes a bottleneck when you up the boost.

I'd definitely have Jesse do it. He knows JB4 and the Supra better than anyone. Not all shops are familiar with the JB4.

Well, downpipe is a prereq for any reasonable power gain. You're not going to jam a JB4 on and see the gains you'd see if you had one. Or anything else. Sure it might snag you 10hp on it's own or something, but you need the exhaust to flow nicely if you're going to up the boost.

Wanna go fast or sound.. different? The stock exhaust is fine - there's no gains there. If anything, the question should be "JB4 or Downpipe" in which case, the answer is downpipe.

It's what a lot of us use here in Chicago. It gets warm here, not hot hot. We only get in the 100s for a couple of months.
